This $12 billion project connecting Indias major cities is nearly finished. It should speed up transit times for freight trucks, which now take three days or more to get from New Delhi to Bangalore.
Thanks for all the great pictures. Would request my brothers not to post pictures of buildings though. They really dont mean anything. 10 small village schools mean more to development then a glassy looking apartment complex. Those who can know a bit into the asian financial crisis and the dubai crisis now should know even better what I am talking about. Also posting different views on the same road again and again doesnt help especally when after spending millions they cant spend a few hundreds on removing dust/mud on the edge of the road or create a footpath.
Please continue to show the good work on railway connectivity, port development etc.
It should be relatively easy Ali. I know that GoI consciously did not stop granting visas e.t.c. even after 26/11 although it just takes longer because of extra verification process going through the Home ministry. Its easier if you are part of a business, media or arts group going to visit on official invitation or if you have friends or relatives that you are going to visit there.
The best thing would be to contact your local Indian consulate and find out what the most recent requirements are.
