if we sea china mainland from google earth more than half of country is barren. so in real china is no more than india in actual size. second india is based on a very strong cultural ties unlike china. china has so many enemy. india has only 2. india is very much progressing in education sector so on the edge on a being super poser. Ee have a very great number of youth people against chinese old people.indian are well connect to the rest of english speking world. china is cutted from every field from rest of the world . now many international companies are fueling their money in china because of their low cost man power. when they will go back china will collaspe. so china should never overestimate its self. if china wants long term prosperity it must cooperate with india. india also has so many atomic weapon they are good enough to counter both china and pakistan . so china must forget to engage with india.

with the development of science and technology,we can turn all those barren land into fertile,Chinese scientists are already talking about divert water from Tibet(which accounts for 40% of the world fresh water) to Xinjiang and turn vast Xinjiang desert into grassland even forest. but India will become barren after we finish those projects.

More or less all the military conflicts with Pakistan was started by them, we just protected our interest. And Sikkim?? We didn't occupy Sikkim, they willfully became part of the family, and they are not planning to move out!! And Nehru was confident about a diplomatic solution with China, he even rejected all reports of Chinese military buildup and kept relying on "Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai" (India China are brothers) rhetoric until 1962. India was a pacifist country before 1962.

Here some quotes & actions of Nehru to give you a better idea:

"We don't need a defense plan. Our policy is non-violence. We foresee no military threats. You can scrap the army. The police are good enough to meet our security needs."

On September 16, 1947, he directed that the army's then strength of 280,000 be brought down to 150,000. Even in fiscal 1950-51, when the Chinese threat had begun to loom large on the horizon, 50,000 army personnel were sent home as per his original plan to disband the armed forces.

In 1962 not only Indian soldiers were heavily outnumbered, they didn't have enough ammunition, not even suitable clothes for that kind of cold. And there primary weapon was WW2 era bolt-action rifles. All this because of our unrealistic pacifist policies.

Even in 1965 war, we didn't have anything to match Pakistani F-86 and Patton tanks. They were technologically superior.

And this is where we started to change our policies:
