India is willing to demilitrize Siachen but what assurance you have that no Kargil like surprize will happen again?

India is not willing to demilitirize Siachen without Pakistani acceptance of the AGPL which is essentially a Pakistani surrender to unprovoked Indian military aggression in Siachen in 1984 and an acceptance of India's position on demarcation.

And before you ask about Kargil, what assurances can India provide to Pakistan that no Siachen like surprise will happen again?

India today asked the US not to give USD 860 million aid including USD 265 million for military hardware to Pakistan, saying all such aids go directly into anti India activities.

“Our position on this has been made clear on a number of occasions. We believe that all such aids actually go directly into activities directed against India. It should not be given,” External Affairs Minister Spokesperson Vikas Swarup said when asked about the proposed US aid of USD 860 million.

Earlier this week, the Obama administration proposed USD 860 million in aid for Pakistan, including USD 265 million for military hardware, which it said would help the country fight terrorists, secure nuclear weapons and improve ties with India.

While there was no mention of Pakistan in President Barack Obama’s budgetary proposals, Secretary of State John Kerry in his proposals said the budget includes USD 859.8 million towards sustaining ties with Pakistan and making progress to “disrupt, dismantle and defeat violent extremist groups”.

“The requested funding will support the country’s counter- insurgency missions, and bolster stability, energy access, economic growth, and social reform,” Kerry said in a letter accompanying his proposals on February 9.

India is not happy at all with the package because that could sabotage the terrorist network of TTP India worked so hard to train and fund against Pakistan. Network of 17 Indian Consulates, millions of dollars in training and equipping Tehreek eTalibaan. The TTP has already suffered, is suffering and will suffer even more with the F-16s. Though India pretends to be US and Afghanistan's best friend, but then funding and training TTP has consequences back in Afghanistan which is counterproductive to the India's 2faced policies. Let's not forget India pretended to be Sri Lanka's best friend and funded the LTTE. India wants to be friends with Nepal, but wants to choke it economically. India wants to be China's best friend but also wants to fund, host and support the Dalai Lama. India cannot maintain the biggest democracy status and be a sponsor of terrorism at the same time.

Neither side shall seek to alter it unilaterally, irrespective of mutual differences and legal interpretations. Both sides further undertake to refrain from the threat or the use of force in violation of this line.​

If line of control was a long range gun, Siachen was out of its range. So India didn't violate it neither Simla Agreement.

There were reports Pakistan was also preparing for same kind of act India succeeded before Pakistan. Of course Pakistan was keeping in view the respect of Simla agreement. Even if reports are incorrect, India is free of charge.
