The only graceful solution is for both sides to accept the Pakistani proposal on demilitarization - accepting the Indian proposal would set a horrible precedent for the future, where a country (India in the case of Siachen) that engages in unprovoked military aggression is allowed to get away with it because a couple of decades later some people want the victim (in this case Pakistan) to surrender and give up territory.Whether the melon falls on the knife or the knife falls on the melon, it's the melon that suffers. You may find that water of Indus river is no more drinkable and fish are dying. Or avalanche are happening in a row. Find a graceful solution its good for us.
What if next time India's military aggression takes over even greater territory elsewhere and the two sides end up locked in a stale-mate conflict? Accepting the Indian demand would mean that each time something like this occurs, the victim keeps surrendering and giving up more and more - this is not compromise or a 'graceful solution', it is outright surrender and capitulation to a war-mongering State.
