If India only belongs to Hindus according to his claims then where do current Indian Muslims stand? their forefathers may be had been Hindus but they are Muslims now.

You are right that Muslims need to snap out of such silliness. However, one must note that the narratives of superiority often stem from a position of weakness as a psychological compensatory mechanism. This is what you might wish to address, and not a DNA based approach. Muslims typically do not subscribe to racial or strong nationalist views.
You must concede that the Muslims who did not migrate to Pakistan decided to stay and be Indians. You can not today raise a spectre of extra-territorial loyalty. This stuff may get you Hindu votes, but it is actually misleading IMV and damaging in the long run. Why do you put Indian Muslims in a position where they have to prove their loyalty? My DNA might show that I have 'Indian' genes. What would that make me? This is just silly. And I am at a loss to understand how an intelligent and articulate person like yourself does not see that?

No they did not move to Pakistan for reasons other than patriotism. Most of them could not afford to move. Others were deliberating on moving, only it took a long time winding up business and other dealings. This is true for most UP/Bihar Muslims. Then there was a fact that transfer of population was allowed until 1957 or so (not certain of dates) there was no immediacy or sense of urgency. By the time already stories of Mohajir persecution or Bengali bad treatment were trickling in which made them re-consider. This explanation was from a Muslim himself.

It is because from the latest reports there are 1.8 million hardcore Wahabis in India.

Yes.If they are willing to convert.If they aren't atlwast they should proclaim that they have common ancestory with Hindus and reverence for Hindu Gods.

I think u better be concerned of whats the condition of pakistan.
We might have some problems but are still 1000 times better when it comes to religious tolerance.

This fresh statement does not fit with the ones you heard at all. Normally, right wingers stick to the Savarkar lines who stated that Muslims and Christians who were forcibly converted to a foreign religion do not fit to be called Hindus because though they share a common blood (blood from the Aryan stock residing on the bank of Sapta Sindhu) and a common fatherland (Sindhusthanam,country stretched from the bank of Indus to almost modern India's South and eastern periphery), their religious and cultural bonding belong to distant Arabia. Their God, ideas, heroes do not belong to the land of Hindus (Essentials of Hindutva; V D Savarkar).

So even if Swamy becomes satisfied with Mrs.Heptullah's Hindu ancestry, Savarkar doctrine is certainly going to disappoint him.

Subramanian Swamy should be treated in the same manner as one would Russell Peters(on social matters). Sure he will say some crazy things, will get a load of laughs, spark some outrage, some squirming but all in all, harmless entertainment. You can also be sure that the next show is pretty soon. Watching him on a television show is loads of fun, he is super smart, out to provoke and has a tongue that seems to operate without thought control. This is a chap you should see without taking anything he says too seriously though there will be enough to both provoke thought and sometimes, just provoke. There is a reason he gets called to all these television debates, they can always count on him to say something outrageous and crazy.
