What's new

Imran Khan's bullet proof air conditioned container for PTI's march

Well I wont answer for TuQ coz I cant stand him....I only heard his 1st speech but after that he only sounded crazy or delusional

As for march...well I guess it was to scare PM that people too have a voice and a say so put pressure or just to show I got my eyes on you :p: or to show that awaam zinda hai and demand something ....called change...just to show protest like how people do in UK....how many marched in London and about 3 peaceful rallies in about 1-2 weks for Gaza that too in ramadan!

Imran and qadri are not going for gaza or paletsin..its march for lust of power and overthrowing current government

When any elected poltical party or MP did such kind of protest in UK to overthrow central government?

But they're talking walls! It's not true walls have ears. They keep talking and not listen. I gave up, you'll too. It's like yelling for help in space.
khair hai.. i have stamina :D

Well its a little foolish to compare UK with Pakistan...esp when in UK you dont have the courts favouring politicians based on who cuts the largest check!

Or having a corruption the rate we do in Pakistan

Plus UK has the Queen to neutralize any shit that takes place

Its foolish to compare but you did it in the first place and i just responded to it that those protests in UK were different in nature

Its also follish to compare the protest in uk with protest in Pakistan after considering the security and law and order situation of boht countries..such over crowded protest bring more destruction in Pakistan because Pakistani jobless youth love to express their frustration on road by detsroying public property, blocking roads, fighting with police, and teasing public etc

what is agenda? have peaceful march and go home ? lol

overthrow government and force them to resign? how? Can you tell me how peaceful march will force PM to resign from his post? Marches and calls for so called revolution/tabdeel only lead to anarchy ? What is the political credibility of Canadian qadri to join him and his dumb supporters in march when his party TUQ was not even democratic and did not participated in elections. Who should be responsible for law and order when thousands of emotional protesters were brought to the Capital for overthrowing and forcing government to resign? yea blame government for anything bad happen when its your leadesr who brought them for distrubance and chaos for their political gains..good luck

PTI has explained several times, that they demand re-elections and an investigation into the rigging. Not just "overthrowing the government". And how can you speak of that nutcase Qadri and Imran Khan as if they are the same person? Has PTI ever called for violence? They have had countless rallies and marches, none of them were violent. Not to mention that Qadri was provoked by PMLN. They were well aware of how Qadri's supporters are, and how they would react when pushed up against a wall when they decided to besiege model town.

All these protests and long marches were perfectly fine when PMLN did them, but if some other party tries to do it, they are suddenly "terrorists" and "trying to derail the democratic system".
Nawaz spearheading long march to Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Mian Nawaz Sharif told Geo News on Sunday that he is leading the long march towards Islamabad after reaching GPO Chowk here. The long march comprises thousands of participants including lawyers, political workers and members of civil society.
Mar 15, 2009
If this was ok, then the current long march is ok too. Enough with the double standards.

Nawaz got 3 turns at PM and 5 turns at Chief Minister and it is obvious that he spent that time trying to make himself the monarch and not letting the country develop.
"Imran Khan's lust for power". yeah right. Just because he is not willing to sit and watch the country get robbed doesn't make him power-hungry. There is absolutely no doubt that the elections were rigged. If they weren't rigged, why was PMLN so scared of opening just 4 constituencies to an investigation? JUST 4.
Now they have surrounded Lahore and Islamabad with containers, WHY? What are they scared of?

Why don't you PMLN supporters see reason?

@TankMan my question is how peaceful march will force nawaz to resign? Did nawaz sharif went for march with intention of overthrowing current government or forcing them to resign with crowd of thousands on roads of capital? Its not protest but blackmailing. How many long marches and jalsa Ik did in punjab before this azadi march? What is the political authority of qadri to be part of such protest when he did not even participated in election and don't even accept the constitution of Pakistan? Any leader who lost in election claim that he lost because of rigging and his claim mean nothing unless court or election commission dont give its verdict based on evidence..you can take words of Ik as bible but not others.. Did not PML(N) accepted the result of 2008 election and waited for their turn instead of creating havoc over rigging . Its not first time any party lost election.

I don't think the peaceful march will cause NS to resign, what I think is that they'll settle on something a bit less radical.
I agree with your point about Qadri, he's a total drama, It's starting to look like he's trying to sabotage the protest.

PMLN wasn't denied a simple demand such as opening only 4 constituencies. IK spent 14 months trying other options, PMLN left them no choice.

There was an article on Tribune which provides some very good points such as:
Rigging was only done on 10 to 15 seats, so there is no point in all the brouhaha

Firstly, it is hard to understand how the ‘10 to 15’ figure is so vehemently circulating in the social media. As of now, rigging has been proved in 14 constituencies of provincial and national assemblies. But is it really about the numbers? Should it be about the numbers?

Legitimacy of the polls is questionable even if one vote was rigged. It is a fundamental, constitutional right of every citizen to elect his/her representative and theft of that right must be protested against. Democracies thrive on principles, not by compromising on principles.

and

. “Imran Khan just wants to become the prime minister, hence all the fuss”

PTI knows that it did not possess the grass root level of support or the infrastructure to win the 2013 elections. Its internal report also identifies its own shortcomings as a major reason for its defeat. PTI would obviously prefer more time to increase its support-base. Also, the longer the PML-N’s tenure the stronger the incumbency factor against it is likely to be. Hence, in the case of mid-term polls, PTI would be the biggest loser.
Five baseless criticisms against PTI’s long march

Court isn't going to be able to give a verdict if the government won't let it. Again, Imran Khan has explained this too in one of his speeches. I don't take his word as bible, but what he's saying isn't far-fetched. If you see what PMLN is doing to prevent this march, and how they didn't let an investigation take place, it is very probable that what IK said is true.

^ Dear@TankMan if it was all about peaceful protest which is democratic right of any political party then PML(N) never had any problem with it.We know imran khan led many huge jalsa and marches in Punjab before this azadi march and they never faced any obstacle from government side but here intention of qadri and imran khan is different. I only wish there is no more death of any dumb emotional supporters of Ik or TUQ. You should know how hard is to manage such huge crowds and that is also in capital and we know the law and order situation of pakistan..Youth love to express their frustration on roads

Not a single IK supporter has died yet, only Qadri's people (and police) in clashes with the police. What, in your opinion, is Imran Khan's intention? Yes, I agree, youth do get violent if they are provoked. But don't you think blocking roads and besieging cities will make them even more violent? and IK has repeatedly promised their will be no violence on his side.

I too wish no one dies.

i have keyboard when i type , 9/11 was inside job , it pop up so many videos as well so what ? should we believe all ?? your logic is hilarious :D

Is it really or do you have no other come back? You don't read your own news papers or watch the news? What's sad is that Taliban Khan's followers are so extremists that they are ignoring the fact that innocents have already been killed in his greedy wish to take down the government through violence. Here, your post is another example, you and your leaders are lying left and right and you think its a joke to put so many innocent lives at risk for one person's selfish greed?

I too wish no one dies.

People get Violent when they are provoked??? Really? Let's try this:
IK: We will destroy the current monarchy,
IK: We will take over Islamabad and will throw away these kings
IK: If anything happened to me, go take revenge from Shariff family, don't leave anyone of them (suggesting muder, while he's an idiot risking his and his people's lives to begin with, he's be very safe if he drops this stupid idea)
IK: We won't leave Islamabad until the government changes (suggesting forceful throw of government by what? 500K people out of 200 MILLION????)

If you read the above statements, does it make you feel like this is or will be a PEACEFUL march? When someone tells you I won't leave here till the government changes, you are telling others you'll jam the city. 500k or more people wherever they stay, will stop traffic, cause law enforcement issues, local people will suffer.....does this ALL seem normal and peaceful to you?

No one is that stupid to not know where this is headed. This is a violent plan that will cause humans to die no matter what. And anyone supporting IK or his reasons, is to be blamed for any bloodshed. I guess you guys are barbaric enough to live with the fact that people died because you supported violent protests????

Same old, stupid allegations. Which news do you read? NOT A SINGLE PTI SUPPORTER HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN THE VIOLENCE. It was Qadri's supporters who were killed in clashes with police. Not IK's.
"Taliban Khan", again. The last time I tried to talk to you, you dragged in IK's "illegitimate" daughter because you couldn't find anything else to accuse him of.

All IK wants is a peaceful protest against election rigging. He wants re-elections, and that makes him a "Taliban".
Meanwhile, PMLN ordering police to barricade entire cities is perfectly OK and not an extreme reaction.

If the "PEACEFULL" protests starts with the following, then ANY government has a right to lock down the city to protect its citizens. Ask your courageous IK to come to the UK and do a small show like the one he's doing in Pakistan. And let's see where he ends up at on the SAME day. Jailed without bail for treason and accompany to murder or instigating public violence. Shame on you to support a violent agenda like this and lie on top of it like crazies.
Here, if the PEACEFULL protests start with the following, there is no peaceful thing about it. You are threatening to take over the capital to fulfill your selfish and greedy power hunger agenda that you can't do through votes as you can never GET those many votes. EVERYONE knows it, so you decide to do violence and cheating? Here, find PEACEFUL in the following:
IK: We will destroy the current monarchy,
IK: We will take over Islamabad and will throw away these kings
IK: If anything happened to me, go take revenge from Shariff family, don't leave anyone of them (suggesting muder, while he's an idiot risking his and his people's lives to begin with, he's be very safe if he drops this stupid idea)

What's wrong with destroying a Monarchy in The Islamic REPUBLIC of Pakistan?
He never said "we will take over Islamabad". If he did, please provide a link.
Not suggesting murder. He meant "don't let them stay in power". Stuff tends to get distorted when you translate it like that, doesn't it?
No, just an exaggeration. He's suggesting re-elections. PMLN has said many exaggerated things during their rallies too.
Another thing: If he can't get that many votes, yet is so power hungry, WHY IS HE DEMANDING RE-ELECTIONS?!

As for the bloodshed, it's perfectly ok when PMLN orders police to go and kill 14 innocents as long as they're from another party, right?

Its not foolish to compare any country with another one. Whether UK or India or the US or Pakistan, law and order, public safety and people's lives should be safeguarded. You can't go above the law, threaten the government to take over the capital, and risk innocent lives. That's not allowed in any good society. Why is it allowed in Pakistan?
Leaders are like parents, you do what they taught you. When Pakistani leaders start to resolve their issues with negotiations, people will follow the same through peaceful, non-threatening protest. Ik and the Military don't know and can't understand that.

Threats and instigating hate, crimes and risking people's lives should NEVER be allowed under any country. Period. Even if the 10 seats he keeps talking about were lost, he STILL doesn't get ANY majority to rule the country. Why BREAK the country with the little labor he has to show? He hasn't done JACK in KPK, now instead of measuring his performance, he's trying to take over the country through violence and by getting innocents killed???

So only the PMLN government can be above the law, right?
14 months of negotiations resulted in nothing, what then?
If threats and risking people's lives shouldn't be allowed, why do you support PMLN who killed 14 innocents on June 17, in model town?
True, even if those 10 seats would've been lost, it wouldn't make any difference. THEN WHY DIDN'T PMLN OPEN THE 4 SEATS IK WAS DEMANDING FOR THE PAST 14 Months??
For how long have you lived in KPK to be so sure? If he hasn't done anything, why are so many people coming from KPK to support Azadi March?
