That is the political process at work, nothing else. It is sometimes slow and infuriating, but that is the way it goes.

Indeed it is frustrating but if you see that the "normal" route is not productive do you wait for it to become productive or do you seek an alternative?

The alternative is to push for an electoral reform committee and get appointed as its chairman. Then IK can make sure that the next election is much better than this one.

That is the role of parliamentary politics. IK should convince his fellow lawmakers to create this new lawful process. That is the best way forward.

UK govt does allow demos...there were a number of demo for Gaza and recently for Syria tooo...

UK Gov may allow public to protest for Syria or gaza as long as its peaceful protest but they will not allow any elected labour MP to come with large crowd in capital and give threat to overthrow the central governmental of conservative party and try to blackmail central government and demand re-election just after one years .
