Tell me their displacement? I think the one with 7000 tons will be our Nuclear one named as S-30Ps. S-20Ps are with AIP and 2000 tons.

i dont know the displacement of any of the subs. but i would suggest looking on Chinese forums as they have the best info. also the sub model could be anything s24 s25 etc. no one is right until its confirmed.s20 specs and picture below.

039 is a Song class which was the original preferred choice of the navy but China was unwilling to install AIP so now the revised choice is the S20 a export version of the 041 yuan class.

We are already a decade behind in subs. sadly due to delays of finalizing the order first the U boats then the french boats and now the Chinese!!

even if we place an order today would take atleast 2 years to have a boat and then a further 3 or 4 months of sea trials. things couldn't get any more bleak when it comes to our NAVY!

if you are correct then you have a problem. or get the type 39 and get a Saab Stirling engine installed and get a licence to built it or a tot if you buy enough. or reverse engineer the mesma AIP(which you already have) and use that. Pakistan can reverse engineer and aip. if you can build nukes and a huge array of delivery systems then I'm quiet sure you can reverse engineer and aip. or have common sense to buy them.

Yes india has moved ahead of us. Their crews are training on the 1st scorpene.
