Impressive KORAL Land Based Radar Electronic Warfare System on aselsan booth at IDEF 2015
At IDEF 2015, nobody can miss the impressive KORAL system displayed on Aselsan's booth. KORAL System is composed of two 8x8 military trucks, each carrying an element of the system. One of these elements is the Radar Electronic Support (ES) and the other is a multi Radar Electronic Attack (EA) Systems to cover the full spectrum.
KORAL System is based on two 8x8 military trucks
KORAL System is operated by two operators within the Operation Control Unit (OCU) and a Supervisor. OCU is in compliance with NATO standards and also supports NBC protection.
KORAL System also provides Mission Planning and Mission Analysis Tools as an option.
KORAL Radar ES System on aselsan booth at IDEF 2015
KORAL Radar ES System has a modular design with a multi receiver architecture. Its wide frequency and spatial coverage, coupled with high parameter measurement accuracy (RF, PRI, PW, DOA) allow to handle both traditional and emerging threats
with an automatic idenfication of threats and a fast system response.
The system is able to operate within a dense and CW environment with a high precision direction finding and a high precision position fixing with multi-platforms.
KORAL Radar EA System on aselsan booth at IDEF 2015
KORAL Radar EA System also feature a modular design, an integrated digital receiver, a technique generator and a digital RF memory architecture.
The fast beam steering is generated via the
phased array antenna system with a high output of power and multiple solid state amplifiers.
The system covers a wide frequency and spatial coverage with a high parameter measurement accuracy.
The KORAL Radar EA system has multiple jamming and deception techniques and can handle both traditional and emerging threats with an automatic idenfication of threats and a fast system response.
The KORAL system can operate at temperature between -30 °C and +50 °C and with a humidity rate of 95 %.

The Turkish-made Kirpi MRAP Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle is now combat proven.
The Turkish-made
Kirpi MRAP (Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicle designed, produced and manufactured by the Turkish Defense Company BMC is now combat proven after its use by Turkish Armed Forces and a North African Country’s Armed Forces against terrorism.
BMC Kirpi MRAP Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle at IDEF 2015, International Defence Industry Fair in Istanbul, Turkey.
BMC Kirpi save lives of Turkish soldiers after one of the vehicle was attacked and has showed his resistance against explosion of IED (Improvised Explosive Device).
The
Kirpi MRAP has been offered on the export market for several years and the first foreign customer was Tunisia, which has taken delivery of about 40 vehicles. The Kirpi MRAP features an all-welded steel armoured monocoque hull with a V-shaped lower half that provides a high level of protection against mines and improvised explosive devices (IEDs), small arms fire and shell splinters.
The hull of the Kirpi is made in steel armor, which give a protection up to Stanag 4569 Level 3. The bottom part is protected against grenades and land mines up to Stanag 4569 Level 3b. The Kirpi is a vehicle from the MRAP (Mine Protected Armoured vehicle) category. The Kirpi uses a V-shape chassis to increase vehicle and crew survivability by deflecting an upward directed blast from a landmine (or Improvised Explosive Device) away from the vehicle, while also presenting a sloped armour face. The Kirpi provides also powerful ballistic and blast protection.
The Kirpi of Turkish army is equipped with one small open roof cupola with foldable protective walls armed with a 7.62 mm machine gun. The vehicle can be also fitted with remote controlled weapons system.

New Aselsan HISAR-A low altitude air defense missile system on tracked armoured at IDEF 2015.
At IDEF 2015, the International Defense Industry Fair which takes place in Istanbul (Turkey), The Defense Company Aselsan unveils for the first time its new HISAR-A low altitude air defense missile system. In order to fulfill critical zone air defense purposes, the HISAR-A Low and Medium Altitude Air Defense Missile Systems is especially designed to destroy all type of aerial threats at low-medium altitude as helicopters, fighter, UAVs, cruise missile and air-to-surface missiles.
Aselsan HISAR-A low altitude air defense missile system mounted on FNSS tracked armoured vehicle at IDEF 2015, International Defense Industry Fair in Istanbul, Turkey.
HISARA Air Defense System which is developed by ASELSAN with national capabilities to comply with the requirements of the Turkish Army.
ASELSAN has developed the system/subsystem supplying radar/electrooptic sensors and developing fire control and command control solutions, while Roketsan is the main subcontractor for development of the missile.
The Aselsan Low Altitude Air Defense Missile System project includes development and production of two type of ground system, self-propelled armored and wheeled vehicle mounted air defense missile systems, and the missile.
At IDEF 2015, the air defense missile system was mounted on FNSS light tracked armoured vehicle. It has a crew of three including driver, commander and gunner.
The vehicle is fitted with four missiles ready to fire, with two launchers containers mounted on each side of the vehicle.
The Aselsan Air defense missile system mounted on a self-propelled armored vehicle shall be fully autonomous by means of 3D radar, Electro-Optic system, command control and fire control. The system has a maximum interception range of 15 km.
Two missile launchers containers are mounted on each side of the vehicle.

At IDEF 2015 aselsan showcases the SARP Stabilized Advanced Remote Weapon Platform
During the International Defence Industry Fair of Istanbul (May 05-08), one of the leader of the Turkish defence industry, aselsan, present a remotely operated stabilized weapon platform that combines high-precision reconnaissance capabilities with excellent firepower to serve tactical needs of the battlefield and protect critical infrastructures. Aselsan calls this products the SARP (Stabilized Advanced Remote Weapon Platform).
Sarp Remote Weapon Platform is fitted with a 12.7 mm machine gun and an ATS-40 thermal camera
The compact design of the system proves SARP a perfect match for integration onto tactical vehicles, fixed surveillance posts and towers. Depending on the operational requirements, SARP can be equipped with 12.7 mm machine gun (M2HB or NSV), 40 mm automatic grenade launcher (Mk 19 Mod3) or 7.62 mm machine gun (FN MAG58, M240 or MG3).
Through its extensive surveillance and remote control capabilities, SARP enhances situational awareness of
the gunner in his proximity while the vulnerability to attacks is decreased drastically.
SARP incorporates advanced features as Shoot-on-the-move capability for stationary and moving targets, day and night imaging, automatic target tracking, Laser Range Finder for accurate ballistics, computer based fire control functions and Fired rounds counter.
Dual Sarp of aselsan at IDEF 2015 fitted with a 40 mm grenade launcher and a 7.62 mm machine gun
During IDEF 2015, the Dual Sarp remote controlled weapon system is also presented. Dual Sarp has the same platform tha Sarp but is fitted with two weapons in place of one. At IDEF 2015, Dual Sarp is armed with a 40 mm automatic grenade launcher and a 7.62 mm machine gun. The other main difference between the two system is the optical system. Sarp is fitted with an ATS-40 high resolution uncooled thermal camera while the Dual Sarp is fitted with the ATS-60 which is cooled high resolution thermal camera. Both of this cameras are developed by aselsan.
