India is looking like the strongest contender, but it is still early days. They do have a problem with batting depth. In the old days, India could rely on the likes of Tendulkar, Ganguly, Sehwag, Yuvraj, Raina to get a substantial number of overs through and, therefore, play an extra batsman. In the present team, none of top batsmen has bowled at the international level in a long time.

The last match showed the importance of playing 5 crack bowlers. Hopefully, India continue with that. Also, in my opinion, for the playoffs, Ashwin should play ahead of Kuldeep. Kuldeep is a great bowler but often withers under pressure. Ashwin is one of the all time greats who loves pressure and also solves the problem of batting depth.

Kuldeep didn’t have his best game. Have to say any other team In the world - Ashwin would be in the side. Do t forget Ashwin was a batter before he became a bowler - so could make useful runs down the order

Indian team is doing good because..

1.One of the most Decipline fast bowlers with speed between 135 to 145 km/h.

2. Openers are playing selfless cricket, giving fast and attacking starts and good platform to upcoming batsmans.

3. Virat kohli.... No word to describe his capabilities for handling the pressure

4. Hardik pandaya - one of the best all rounder, team balance make perfect.

5. Spinners are one of the best..

Kuldeep didn’t have his best game. Have to say any other team In the world - Ashwin would be in the side. Do t forget Ashwin was a batter before he became a bowler - so could make useful runs down the order

Kuldeep has always been inconsistent. Sometimes he is 90% brilliant, sometimes 10%. He is picked ahead of Ashwin only because he is a leg-spinner. I am not a fan of the approach. You shouldn't drop your best bowlers just for the sake of so-called variety.

For me, the core players in the Indian team should be Rohit, Gill, Virat, Shreyas, Rahul , Jadeja, Ashwin, Shami and Bumrah. Two of SKY/Ishaan/Hardik/Siraj/Kuldeep can come in based on conditions. I don't think Shardul belongs in the playing 11, given the depth of talent available. He is played just to accommodate Hardik who can't always be relied upon to bowl 10 overs. Hardik is good but he is not a Ben Stokes to be able to justify including an extra bowler just to accommodate him.

Agree with everything except on Pandya. He is taking the slot of a specialist batsman and that is upsetting the team balance. He is an automatic choice as the fifth bowler but not as a specialist batsman who can be the sixth bowler. The problem is none of the other batsmen can be counted on for any part-time bowling at all.

Well, anyday indian team should go with shami and replace Thakur, thakur has very limited ability....

Indian team is mistaking with going half cooked thakur..... Shami is a one of the best odi fast and wicket taker bowler who can ball complete 10 overs quota...

Being a 6th bowler - pandaya can help any bowler if his day is not going well...

Stop underplaying India look better than good. They lost Hardik - yet handled it well. As I’ve said got all bases covered. Handled losing early wickets against Australia very well. Have looked relaxed in the other games

Much of old timers and I mean cricket fans, still fear jinxing of fortune haha. I am one of them, ye saale kabhi bhi palti maar sakte hai. I only watch highlights for many years now, worried of Indian team losing when I watch haha.

Proper tatee performance so far. I cant see us passing 270 - Afghani spin taken control
