question is if iaf detected it on ibl then paf would also have detected it. Why did they not scrambled there jets. I feel they made two findings there. 1st checking response time taken from haldwara afb and our defence tracking network.

IAF has every right to be airborne if they detect a threat....the problem here it seems is the SU30 was responding for a while. The pilot must have maintained radio silence.

Went to Indian section, clicked ctrl-f and typed 'blitz', because I remembered that misleading word in the title.

20 minutes scramble time!!!!!!!!!!

they are fighter jets, they know how to avoid collision. Rather they are trained for close encounter during dog fight.

This is what like the 5th incident in the last 2 years.The last one was IAF plane landing on the wrong runway in Delhi and the second last in Pune where the Su 30 came very close to a Spicejet flight

Sh!t happens bro and being the 4th largest AF in the world things will go awry for the IAF more frequently than for other ,smaller , AFs.

It depends on where the scramble comes from- sometimes it will be a LCA, sometimes it will be a MKI, sometimes it will be a Rafale, a M2k UPG or MIG-29UPG- it's about where the alert is an the which SQD's alert fighters are closest.
