Yes using their repeated battery analogy Comac is really a Western company since it relies on the West for engines and critical parts.
Soon the engines will be replaced by domestic ones since the plane had already got its airworthiness certificate

So Tesla makes their own batteries and Apple makes phones outside of China.
Yet you still keep saying over and over and over that they are basically Chinese companies.

So until you have 100% Chinese parts we can just keep saying Comac is a Western company.

If you don't like others using your own logic then stop using it.

Comac is basically a Western company..

I think you have the old data when China wanted to get FAA certification, they preferred established brands. The latest indigenization rate is around 60 to 70% barring the engine. Control system was localised a few years back. We make Y20s, it is not rocket science. Engine CJ1000A will take a few more years.
Ok and what about apu, navsystem?
is it using Garmin or some local navsystem?
CFM engines are being used as far as my understanding goes. Thing is in commercial AC's cost effectiveness is a major factor(Endurance/seating capacity/fuel efficiency) otherwise Russians would've been successful.

Engines are definitely still LEAP, other avionics are made in China through joint ventures. The thing is these are not really advanced technologies, we make the same stuff for the military planes as well, the problem is certification. That's the reason why US did not sanction ARJ, because there is nothing advanced except the engines and they know we are already testing our LEAP class engines.
