Apparently he was the liaison officer for the General, the pilot perished in the crash

Wing Commander Prithvi Singh Chauhan was the pilot of the ill-fated Mi-17V5 helicopter carrying CDS Gen Bipin Rawat.

so did they move him away from flying duties due to his tejas episode? must be well connected. instead of court martial he gets a medal and promotion?

Apparently Tejas lost it's flight control system....and he managed to recover the aircraft.

another thing I just remembered in UK a Chinook crew comprises two pilots and two crewmen and some additional specialists depending on the mission profile. does anyone here know about the crew compsition of an indian Mi-17V5 ? I do not know it.

Unlike the general perception, the Indian fleet is rather new.

Taking trophy photos and hiding bodies is not professionalism. These people are no longer soldiers and have become animals.

Soldiers have codes of professionalism they must maintain.

Agree 100%. To celebrate the death of a CDS of an enemy country in a non-combat situation is still in extremely poor taste.

Combat situation is a different matter.

Decorum must be present for this sort of thing. Enemy combatants are still soldiers in peacetime and deserving of professional respect.

That's something Indians do... Not us.
