Sir, Correct yourself, there wasn't any issue of hazrat Umar, the Issue was for arresting the murder of Hazrat Usman..

See..I don't believe such stories...to this day there are more than 40 percent of Indians who can't even read...and you want me to believe a tribe residing in a desert 1500 years ago was reciting Quran..hahaha..one more thing is there was no chance people of Muhammad's time recited Quran as it was just some messages to Muhammad(so called)...Quran is not like Vedas(poetry praising different gods)..it sounds more like conversation or suggestions and advice's..why would anyone read that..like there is a surah in which god tells people not to go to Muhammad's house empty handed..why would I recite that?there are so many verses like that in Quran..

yes he was father in law of Muhammad PBUH , his daughter Hazrat Hafsa was married to Muhammad PBUH but it was like you said the daughter of first Kalif Abu Bakr r.a that found prominence.
the age issue is controversial though there is only one scribe who has written down her age to be 7 and that guy was known to suffer from memory issues tool, under age marriages (by today's standard )were common back then in all faiths so no one bothered to check if she was really 7 or say 13 or more. had it been a custom to marry a child that young then Ali's own wife shouldn't have been 18 when she was married to Ali who was 21.

re Hazrat Umar r.a yes he took part in battles as well but also sent out his military generals like Khalid ibn walid in battles later becoming a Caliph.

Umar converted when Muslims were still in Mecca and had only recently started to openly preach Islam and he converted to Islam when they were the weakest and vulnerable. there was nothing but sacrifice and persecution for him for his conversion.
