How to join Pakistan Army?

I am born and breed in England but want to be apart of Pakistan Army. I am not an pakistani national but my mother is. After my studies i am considering to pay my dues in the medical sector of the army. would i be accepted if i apply?

Yes you may, Please check on the Pakistan Army website if you fall in any of the category. But keep in mind that you will need a Pakistani Nationality to apply (even if its a dual nationality you will have to surrender the other). But its a long shot among the 3000-4000 who apply for army hardly 300-400 make it through. Please call the PA directorate in GHQ for exact details.

Buddy I dont know what that is to be honest, but what you can do is go to any of the navy, army or air force hospitals and see an eye specialist (they do see civilians, perhaps in the evening) you can ask them the same question. They are in better position to advise you, as they will be the people confirming your fitness in the medical. One visit might cost you around 300-400 but will save you from alot of stress. Please keep in mind that eyesight doesnt matter much for army as there was a guy alongside me who applied for AMC n was declared unfit even by the medical board and he had some issue of eyes. Its better to get it checked first hand!

well this is Azhar Ali Khan from Multan working in Faisalabad in National Saving Organization (Markaz Qaumi Bachat), i am doing my M.B.A in HRM, i did my B.A in Economics, i ahve 7 years working experience with me, i have experties in HRM/Management and as well as in IT Field, like web designing, graphic designing, networking etc.
I have applied in ARMY in PMA long course in 2001 but didn't pass interview, now i wish to join again army in HRM department or training department, because i have great love for ARMY, so wud u please show me the procedure so i can serve army with my best services.

You both probably would be over-age by now, so you may not be able to apply.

@ Spanish. If you are still within the age limits, yes you can apply, but the Graduate Course thingy (the induction after graduation) is no more open, so you would have to apply for a regular long course, provided you havent over shoot your age.

Hey, I'm 16, and I've been living in US for the past 15 years. I speak a little Urdu, understand Punjabi somewhat, can't write in Urdu and read very little. I have a US citizenship. I'm in very good physical shape.

If I wanted to join the Pak Army, (most of family lives in Pakistan and I visit in summer), would I be able to get some kind of dual-citizenship, and just fight the Taliban on a single tour of duty? Some of friends say serving in a foreign army will cause me to lose my American citizenship, even if only for a while.

Also, how would I join? Do I just sign up? What are the requirments?

If you are a Pakistani, you already are a dual citizen. Pakistan has a dual nationality contract with the US so yes you can apply for commission in the Army, but then you would lose your American nationality, not because that the yanks would mind, but Pakistan dont allow guys with dual nationalities to serve in its armed forces. So you have to renounce your American nationality once you near completing your training at PMA (if you are selected).

And there is no 'single' tour of duty in the Army. You either join for guud or you dont.

You need to check if your parents have got you registered with the Pakistani consulate once you were born. Your mother is Pakistani, so you may become a Pakistani as far as i know, provided you want to be one. But as you have said you are not a Pakistani, then unfortunately you cant join Pakistan Armed Force in any department/arm.

Male Citizens of Pakistan, domiciles holders of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Northern Areas. Pakistani candidates having dual nationality will initiate the process for renunciation of their foreign nationality and will give an undertaking before joining the Army that they will complete the procedure for renunciation of their foreign nationality before completion of their training. Those failing to renounce their foreign nationality or to complete the procedure will not be granted commission. They will be liable to pay the training charges/bond money and will instead have to seek release/discharge from the Army.

brother you are over weight... the weight depends upon your height (body mass index) you can calculate your BMI here Check Your BMI

as i have found you are overweight but this aint something that cant be sorted out... you just need to burn calories, jog, run n dont eat much... you can consult a doctor in this case if you want to.... i knew a guy to get his BMI down he had to eat carrots n drink water for like 2 weeks or something.... and yeah climbing stairs burns more calories then any exercise

i applied for technology officer posts in army.. i did passed all I.Q n academic tests . unfortunately my eyesight result was 6/6 for right n 6/36 for left eye. they said i m unfit. even i can see clearly with glasses. is it can be a rejection reason??? plz guide.

army as they take up more candidates.... PAF is kind of strict in that manner!!
