How to educate Americans about the coup in Pakistan?

Dr. Moeed Pirzada offers the idea of talking directly to the American people too. I just don't think it will work because most Americans don't care, and those that do care have a negative view of the country.

What Pakistan needs is an English-language television network to spread its narrative.

We can start by promoting a softer image of Pakistan. I am biased of course but I think Pakistan has immense artistic talent in the music space. We should be promoting Pakistani artists around the world, including the US.

And for anyone who thinks it is impossible to compete with the American marketing machinery, just look at the global success of K-Pop.

We need a Pakistani not enslaved by Foreign Masters

Where our Commander is , grabing his vanity bag and tip toeing overseas to listen to their demands and give a power point presentation to their Parliament
Which demands? Please enlighten us all what the heck Pakistan has given in to demands from your presumed 'Foreign Masters'?

Every thing beyond April 13th is consequence of foreign interference/conspiracy and has happened according to will of a foreign controlling power

Come on, I thought you are a well-educated person. Alas, I seem to be mistaken. My barber can give a better response than yours. Please stop spreading lies.

How will this narrative explain exPMIK's support for the Taliban to the American people?

Just like the Americans have their interests so does Pakistan. If the US and India support Northern Alliance warlords Pakistan supports the opposite side.

Most Americans don't know or follow politics out of their Republican and Democratic circles

Their local media is centered around coverage for football games, Basketball and Baseball.

It is time waste to worry about USA's public view

1- Pakistani Netural
2- Pakistani Mafia
3- Pakistani Dalal courts

Are Pakistan's internal matter which requires action from Pakistani People

I believe most Americans are decent people who want to believe that their government does the right thing around the world. They know it is not always 100% true but, by and large, they want the US to stand for good things.

We need to educate them that the Biden administration is on the wrong side of history and, worse, is giving democracy a bad name by endorsing a money-laundered coup by corrupt elites in a country full of poor people.

This thread is to collect ideas how we can promote that narrative in the domestic American media.

I will start out with some ideas.

1. Pool money to buy large, well-designed ads in print media.
2. Send videos to traditional media comparing PTI jalsas to opposition jalsas.
3. Write op-ed pieces in local media.
4. Organize on-campus events to educate students.

The message in all these ads must include these things:

1. The living conditions of poor Pakistanis compared to the elite partying in London.
2. The corruption cases against the elite and the complicit legal system.
3. The difference in popular support (size of jalsas) for Imran Khan v/s the so-called democratic government.

This could also apply to other Western countries but we all know the most important country that can influence Pakistani politics is the US.
I am amazed you live in Australia with this innocence.

The citizens of these countries know better than us how their governments colonize and use us. Yes they are decent people but they have beliefs which are not so decent and are used as a justification for white man's rule over non-white people.

In western mindset, if you can be so easily oppressed and enslaved then you deserve it.

People have been trying to educate Americans about Palestinian genocide. All it took was Russia and Ukraine for Americans to go Salva Ukraine. Race, anti-Russianism and Europeanism are undeniable.

Exactly. There are many Western citizens that are well aware of the negative role their governments play to destabalise other nations. The Western people generally don't care. Both European and American. They only care about their day to day affairs. I live in a Western country. I was born and brought up in a European country. As long bread butter and other things are going fine there is nothing to worry for the average Joe. Pakistan would be the last thing on their mind. Right now bread and butter is major issue due to inflation etc. The average Joe is too preoccupied and worried about his own issues.

No point, overwhelming majority of Americans want and need Universal Healthcare, yet it will never be passed as a law because corporations, wall street, Billionaires and Israeli partisans control this country. Only what they want in terms of policy is what gets done...

US is an extreme oligarchy...

It is too late for all of this. The damage is already done. The Americans and Western governments are not going to promote a softer image of Pakistan. You cannot reach the Western audience without the approval of their governments and intelligence circles. Essentially the Western governments and intelligence circles dictate their media. The European governments and security apparatus follows US dictation. The previous government tried to promote Pakistan through social media platforms, but that is merely a drop in an ocean. Nevertheless, at least one government who tried something.

Is it a secret that US needs India to counterbalance China? All US and by extension Western efforts revolve around China containment. India is our arch-enemy, but it certainly deserves praise for its balanced and well-thought policies through out their existence. Pakistan was and is always ready to align itself with one or the other side without thinking about long term implications. The latest kneejerk move by the establishment is enough indication where we stand.

Pakistan's role is already defined among Western powers. Pakistan should serve the role of an insignificant vassal state that only exists to serve the needs and interests of Western powers. Western powers believe that they created the Pakistani state and have a right to dictate the terms. Additionally, India is assigned the role of a regional power to confront China. Hence Indian wishes are top priority for Western powers. Western powers stand with India on major issues between India and Pakistan. Of course India is set to milk the Western powers in such a secnario.

The Western powers had already decided after 9/11 that time had come to tackle Pakistan. The Western powers ganged up in neighbouring Afghanistan to destabalise Pakistan. It was a colossal effort that went on for 2 decades. Not only did Western powers try to hurt Pakistani security through proxy tactics. They also took aim at Pakistani economy and social fabric. The Western powers managed this in such a cunning fashion by also blaming Pakistan for their failures in Afghanistan. Essentially they came to Afghanistan to deal with Pakistan. When they failed and were frustrated in their efforts they retorted to tarnishing Pak image among their own populace. I am surprised that Pakistan even exists today. We cannot comprehend the scale and magnitude of the operation that Pakistan withstood.

How do you intend to promote soft image when they are out there to destroy you in the first place?

Just translate all of Rana Sanaulla’s press conferences and send them to editors and members of congress

And for anyone who thinks it is impossible to compete with the American marketing machinery, just look at the global success of K-Pop.
Fund and support artists like Xulfi, Rohail Hyatt, Strings and a few others to flood the global markets with quality music.

Why really? Why do you need their 'approval' or 'acknowledgement' for anything about your country? and more importantly why should they care?

Op-eds and campus campaigns can be effective but given credibility problems, conspicuous ads will come out as cigarette ads.

Pak has several credibility issues - China camp, OBL memory etc. You'll need a dramatic reversal to show - may be a highly publicized recognition of Israel with your elected and military leads in unison could be a start.

The Americans and Western governments are not going to promote a softer image of Pakistan.

They will not allow ISPR videos on US channels but I still think our singers can promote a good image of Pakistan. We can start by promoting them in Muslim countries and work our way to the West, China and Japan. I never realized Nazia Hasan was a super hit in South America even though they couldn't understand a word of Urdu. Even for songs in English, you don't need a Shakespearean command of the language.

Pakistani administrations have always been incompetent when it comes to promoting Pakistani art and culture abroad. Even PTI was no better.

Why really? Why do you need their 'approval' or 'acknowledgement' for anything about your country? and more importantly why should they care?

We are not seeking their 'approval'. We want to make it harder for US administrations to subvert democracy and human rights in Pakistan by exposing to the American people what kind of governments their government supports abroad.

Fund and support artists like Xulfi, Rohail Hyatt, Strings and a few others to flood the global markets with quality music.

We can offer government subsidies for Pakistani artists to go on foreign tours and concerts. Much better than giving subsidies to the sugar mafia.
