... sad attempt at humor

here is a forum for debating military issues, not religions. If I'm wrong correct me please and change the name to "ummah.pk".
theology is a different topic that should be covered differently by different people and different standards. It's not a good idea to discuss religious issues when it can cause unwanted fights leading us to nowhere.

I agree with you. However, this thread it titled under World Affairs. As such, discussion about the Umma'ath is rightly placed here. Threads related to the armed forces and other defense issues can be found in the relevant forums. If you wish to focus on the defense related issues alone then you need not post here baradar, that is all.

I have the right to participate in all the discussions I found them interesting brother. I will say the reason of my humor in the below.

yea, That's good for muslems. but why shouldn't muslems be brothers with all nations? that way of categorizing people appears as a matter of concern to me, It can have both good and bad consequences, although the good consequences are more now i guess.

it IS a theocratic republic, but that doesn't mean the Ummah ideology is welcomed in Iran. although I think anything that can help you take back your rights can be seen as good. the real ideology which is considered as right by the majority of the Iranian people is humanitarianism.

Iran is not a true Theocratic Republic. I'll make a brief note of it. Iran has a complicated and an unusual political system that that meets no Western designation of governance accurately. Rather it combines elements of a modern Islamic theocracy with democracy.

The governmental bodies are connected to one another in complicated relationships. The most accurate terminology is a non-western one, "Wilayat-e Faqih" (Guardianship of the Islamic Jurists). It is a republican democracy overlapped by a Islamic guardianship.

In a true theocracy, the inhabitants of the state believe that divine power governs an earth-bound human state, either in a personal incarnation or more often through religious intermediaries (i.e., a church, a pope). This authority then replaces/ dominates the civil government. Theocratic governments enact & implement 'theonomic' laws. Hence, Iran is not a true theocracy. It is a state where religious affiliation and influence is present in both governance and legislation. This alone does not render it theocratic. Greece also has a state religion yet it's a secular democracy. Vatican city is theoretically (in actuality it is administered by Papal councils) in control of the Pope-- a divinely appointed intermediary as per Roman Catholic belief-- and thus functioning as a true theocracy.

Therefore, at best, Iran is a theocratic democratic republic, which in itself is a new term altogether and an entirely new form of governance. As for the Supreme Leader, he is elected by an unelected body (The Assembly of Experts, 'doctors' of Islam). In powers he is above the President (and in effect the true head of state) but it has to be emphasized that he is a Jurist, a judge. A more accurate term for the رهبر معظم, (Rahbare Moazzam) would be Supreme Jurist. The term "Supreme Leader" is purposely used by the Western media to associate the system with autocratic rule.

Muslim brotherhood may be alive among oridnary Islam loving muslims however it prabably be in coma at state level. At least, when comes to foregn policies. Iraq got attack unlawfully, 100 thousands dead, a civilization seized to exist yet OIC nations stayed idle except oridinary citizens took on the street. A live Ummah could have allow such unjust.

We have OIC nations yet there neither strong economic cooperation nor United islamic army. Why should Iraq, Afghan, Pakistan or else where tackling this issues alone while rest are taking spectetor seat? Bloody shame.

Muslim brotherhood still vibrant among muslims living in none-Islamic state. At least I have experienced it in USA.

.
ummat means to arabize every thing, simple, islam is arabic religion, arabic language should be respected, arabic names should be used, arabic calendar etc

OIC doesnt even respect other languages than english, arabic language..(most people in nations included in OIC must be speaking non arabic language, being urdu and indonesian)

are we gonna start being arabized by using the concept of ummat??

i have 2 interpretations of word ummah..
1.anyone who enters the fold of islam automatically becomes a part of this brotherhood..its a coneptual term..intangible..in this form ummah obviously exists..
2. all muslim countries forming a brotherhood..something having material n tangible.. in todays world this is just a dream when we have shiite crescent, separate agendas of sunni nations, different allies of muslim nations, etc

all we can do is restructure OIC n make it a vibrant body(right now even this is a dream)..develop economic n strategic relations, etc to get closer..but this would not fall in the realm of word UMMAH

Does not exist and will not exist - the world does not work like that. The richer Muslim nations want nothing to do with the poorer ones. Its better to focus on internal unity than unity with other nations that is often very superficial.

True but sad.

Ah come one, you can do better than that, what did Profet Mohamed PBUH tell us in his last sermon?

All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.

so tell me where is the arabization?

Now mix arab nationalism or tribalism with Islam, as some, usually in the Gulf do, and it is a whole other problem.

.
I dont..Too many differences in people to unite...Arab vs Persians..Shia vs Sunnis..etc..

this is the weak point Khomeini would be upset to see hapening today: the fact is that there is a group who cheated the elections. guardian council said before elections that it was allowed to cheat to help for Islamic matter (to translate it: let win Ahmadinejad)
Mesbah Yazdi gave a fatwa to cheat to help Ahmadinejad !

elections:
only allowed some of them. for exemple for mayor of tehran no reformist candidate allowed => for sure they could't win LOL
for the last presidential elections : we already seen all the cheatings

As well i would like to add, even being from sepah family and very religious, that Khomeini didn't want bassiji / sepah to enter politics . now you see how much economic power they have.

Pasban jan, we lost our democracy. Hopefully we can get it back soon when some smartt people in power can understand they cannot go on with violence, and anti democratic behaviors

Just watch the videos. How could we see our great country become like this??? How can we accept that for 1st may :

damned Ahmadinejad we should hang him
