2) Easy chance to interfere in/control the Bad al-Mandab strait
3)Easy chance to earn governmental equity in a future Yemen
4)Easy chance to track and attack enemy shipping in the nearby waters
5)Easy chance to build up ANOTHER potential proxy force on the Arabian penninsula

Pakistani Army has to do the rescue operation because: 1) The kidnapped and kidnappers are geographically in Pakistan's territory and 2) If Pakistani army doesnt do the rescue operation, IRGC will do it, and since Pakistani lack of security allowed the situation transpire in the first place, Iran has a legal right to take action on that.

Looks like Pakistan army has two jobs.. protecting Pakistanis and protecting Iranian border guards..

What about protection Pakistani Shia who get blasted away in Pakistan? Where did you get this? From the beginning of the conflict, Saudi Arabia has been willing to let the Houthis come to the table but all that's achieved is giving them breathing space to maneuver their forces and lay mines.

The pipeline attack was Houthis but not sure about tanker attack Houthis cannot get this far near UAE costal waters.

Wouldn't be surprised considering they been using drones, ballistic missiles and anti ship missiles to attack Saudi Arabia. How hard would it be with diving gear and explosives attached to tanker's hull compared to the complexity of other weapons systems?

The tanker attack was allegedly done with exploding underwater drones. It's not a given that the Houthis are behind it, could be any of Iran's many proxies.

Serious repercussions? No one is threatening Iran or the regime. Threatening the entire region with a bloody war because they blocked you selling oil because you are using that oil to fund wars in the region is the definition of dangerous regime.

All Iran has to do is not fund proxies across the region and abandon Nuclear weapons development then they can sell all the oil they want.
