HIT's Muhafiz APC Proves To Be A Deadly Embarrassment

one would need a tracked vehicle or a bigger chassis vehicle with more powerful engine to support that extra armour. might as well bring a light tank instead to shut up the scandal hunting reporters who just pick up a word from somewhere and open-up their conspiracy theory

Well to be fair, the writer did mention the words of a APC specialist that you need a bigger engine for heavier protection, and what you pay is what you get.

But still, the writer just went too much gung-ho in his eagerness to break the story and get a pat on the back from the boss!

you need political will to get rid of these criminals but each political party has their weaponised thugs to defend their turf. karachi can be cleaned up. its 5 districts of karachi which are infested. a army op will clear it up -with extreme prejudice - there will be casaulties but we will have a 'peaceful' city.

There was an army operation in Karachi in the early 90's, we Karachiites are well aware of what really went on during that operation. We are also well aware of what the military agencies are doing in the city such as Rangers.

A noob question : How well would a Mohafiz compare with say a standard 'Humvee' if in the same situation ?

Might do better or at par. again Humvee is not meant to be an assault vehcile but a covert/ support and tactical transport under the light vehicle category.

but check them out based on available data on the web and share with us

Algeria opened a Factory to produce UAE/Jordanian Nimr vehicles under license two days ago may I suggest Pakistan to also get a license for it?? Apparently its performance is top notch by all of its users reports.

Pakistan doesn't need to. The Heavy Industries at Taxila are producing wide variety with quality.

so what was the original topic? Stats look good on paper have they been verified practically? at least for Muhafiz, these paper stats failed miserably. Your post is itself a mockery.

Nimr vehicle is for Urban warfare?

A blog for a source isn't reliable at all.

Please go through the thread. This is not APC and anti-Armour bullets were used not to mention RPGs.

I don't think so, because had we done so then we would have seen them in service. There's nothing really to hide about a armored car.

Pakistan Army`s newly inducted armored vehicle bought from turkey. Turkey has delivered 1,260 of Otokar Akrep Light Jeep to Pakistan. it is still in development at HIT industries texla with the co-efforts of Turkey.

Has some one pondered if our Police used these vehicles right ?

ANY armored vehicle, no matter where it is made and how it is made, if it is hit continuously the armor will give up.

Question is, if an armor plate can deflect a 7.62mm round, .. OK
But how many rounds can it deflect before it gives up ?

These vehicles are designed to move fast, drop cargo and move out.

I am very sure police used these vehicles to plant a foot and use as protection while being fired upon.

Therein is the fault.
