A very unfortunate incident. I hope Karachi administration and police would take matter in its hand and put the record straight by protecting the minorities and by punishing the perpetrators suitabily, as soon as possible.

Such an incident only serves to strengthen my belief that the root cause of all our problems is 'lack of common , simple sense' and proper education (not craming and exam scores) is the only solution .
The state funds lost to corruption and discretion if utilised for education could change our destiny forever . If only our rulers were interested in this country because they have everything abroad and no stake here .

We need a minorties section on this forum so we can follow the story through to see if any action is taken against the "haramies" that go around making peoples lifes hell.

I have been saying for ages that pakistan needs to give 25-35% of seats in govt to non muslims for there to proper empowerment of the minorties.

Sir, the root cause of our (including Indians) social problems is INTOLERANCE to other persons views. Call it religious intolerance or lack of empathy, we are morally corrupt society's -- Yours and Mine.

Search Sparklingways recent thread titled "In defense of un-educated". Its beyond mere formal education. Its what that education is making out of our generation , that will make the difference to your and my world. Our education, currently, presents distorted facts. Liberal education is what is needed for us (if at all we can digest it!)

If only our rulers were interested in this country because they have everything abroad and no stake here .

Why do we have to fall on this same old cliché of a phrase, is beyond me. As if , you and me , share no responsibility at all! ... every society has corrupt politicians, barring none. Lets live with that and start doing our share of social responsibilities.

Lack of education doesn't cover it. Even an illiterate knows that their is nothing wrong in a non-muslim drinking water from a cooler outside a mosque. And that too, a child.

It is a lack of basic human decency, it is lack of tolerance, it is lack of compassion for your fellow human being, it is lack of harmony, it is lack of Humanity.

It is the excess of hatred, it is the excess of misunderstanding your own religion, it is the excess of us breeding animals instead of humans.

Where was the Mullah of the mosque during all this? Why didn't he stop such a deplorable act from happening? Why do we play into the hands of these so-called keepers of our faith?

When, when will we learn? When will we become Humans?

For our own sake, and for the sake of our religion and our country, i hope we learn soon.

This has nothing to do with religion but everything to do with bigotry. When bigots are not openly criticised then the views of the majority is murdered by silence. All societies should be openly critical of bigots who shame them.

Well, this is just sad.

Once the war is over we should concentrate on education thoroughly.

Religion is not the cause of this brutalities, but misinterpretation of religion is cause of all this brutalities
tell me if religion would have been the only cause why there is fight between same faith people, why in India there is clashes between caste
All the religion tells people to have tolerance.
Yet people do not practise tolerance because of there illiteracy or some personal gain
