Greek newspaper Parapolitika reports that Greece will be getting 18 Rafale fighters.

The report says a preliminary agreement for the acquisition has been reached. Ten of these fighters will be the F3-R variant built from scratch while the other 8 jets will be second-hand aircraft that will be transferred free to Greece from the French Air Force.

4.5 Generation TFX Fighter might be a match for f-16v and Rafale but still behind F-35... It was a massive blunder to buy s400 over the f-35...... f-35 > s400 any second of the day. Turkey isn't a regional super power. Greece doesn't even respect it. Israel has superior Air force. With all due respect I wish Turkey was more powerful so that it could put some rogue states in its place but this won't happening any time soon.

Yeah I'm not saying that they will do it without US approval...

I was just thinking that they could upgrade/build their block 70 equivalent (obviously with all the proper permission and payments) to bide time in absence of F35. It should be "good enough" to go toe to toe with Greek F16s and 18 Rafales...among other threats they are facing. They just need a good 10-15 years until TFX will be ready for induction...and IMO they can get that breathing room through F16 block 70 as the quickest and easiest way forward(given their long history with F16s).

Actually US banning sales of F35 can help Turkeye in the long run. Turkeye will now feel the need of being self reliant in defence sector. This will also promote R&D, not to mention the enormous opportunity for many small companies /factories that will supply the small components which will help Turkish economy. Add to this the hard earned forex which Turkeye was losing when buying from outside because Turkeye had to pay.

I seriously hope pakistan learn some lessons.

Here point 6 is Turkish weakness not strength . Turkey made every one its enemy . Turkey should have some strategic friends. By friendship it could at least make some countries neutral. I don't understand your foreign policy.
As far I know from various sources, Turkey has to face EU , US , Arab Madhkhalis, Israel etc in mediterranean not only Greece or French.

Now their option is very limited . SU -35 or SU- 57 is better than nothing. Now they may acquire more ADs. Ballistic missile deterrence is a must. Now they should improve missile capabilities to eliminate any threat within hours.
