Azadi Dharna: Lyari residents join PTI sit-in on fourth day – The Express Tribune

KARACHI:
Dozens of men and women from Lyari joined the Paksitan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Azadi Dharna at Sea View on Saturday evening as the sit-in entered its fourth day.

The Lyari’ites arrived in apt style. A young man, wearing a Neymar football jersey, beat the dhol as the men and women cheered as they joined the main sit-in, the party’s songs blaring from their speakers.

Burqa-clad Saima, a resident of Baghdadi, Lyari, claimed she had come to the sit-in because she believed Imran Khan would get them justice. “The party’s name, Tehreek-e-Insaf, speaks for itself.” Seated beside Saima, an elderly woman, Khatija Qazi, demanded she be given a party flag. The women lambasted the parliamentarians from the area, saying they had done nothing for the people. “The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has only given us the gift of dead bodies,” said Qazi.

The Lyari residents came down hard on the Rangers, claiming that dozens of young men had been picked up, tortured and later killed in encounters.

The participants from Lyari had arrived in a bus and five cars. A man accompanying them, Kamran Baloch, said that they have lost all hope in the PPP and the PML-N.

“Nawaz Sharif started the operation which resulted in innocent Baloch being killed. Imran Khan should speak for the rights of Lyari’s residents.” They said that there was no gang war going on in the locality and called for the PTI leader to listen to their demands and help resolve their issues.

Meanwhile, PTI workers in district Central also converged at Hyderi Market in North Nazimabad on Saturday evening to show solidarity with the Azadi marchers. Women, children and men carrying PTI flags and placards gathered at Sharae Shershah Suri – the main thoroughfare of North Nazimabad.

“We are here to show solidarity with our brothers and sisters who have been protesting against the corrupt system for many days,” said Wali Khan, a local PTI activist. “We think if we can’t join them at Islamabad at least we can give them moral support.” The police and Rangers vans were also present to ensure security.

If government kills their 20 people, shoot 100+ innocent people, they have right for protest..... B/w PTI is Second largest party. No match with JUI. Thousands people from 30 days are representation of 2nd largest party. And, This is not easy to sit 30 days without out food, water.... We saw dharni of PMLN for one day, they ran away from rain in first day... This is no easy. Maulana diesel will never ask Imran khan for reelection, Fazul rehman knows that he won due to rigging... While PTI is always ready for reelection.

Where are you when lal masjid incident happen, PTI Zahra Shahid Hussain killed, Two PTI MPAs killed, Hazara province movement workers are killed, Benizar Bhuttoo killed, a long list. Your leaders want dead bodies of innocent people so these dead bodies are ladders for their political carriers. like other political leaders.

PTI is ready for reelections as all opposition parties always ready for reelection but not for showing performance in KPK.

They belongs to Taliban. They have weapons.While Tahirul qadri is first man which issued fatwa against Taliban & terrorism.
PAT & PTI is political party. PAT said from first day about not implementation of constitution from first article 1 till article 63. TUQ was MNA from Lahore, he resigned from assembly due to this system.
They said that everybody will cry after election & this happened due to wrong system.... There are 73 NAB cases against Nawaz sharif, then Musharaf hijack plane issue, attack on Supreme court, While shahbaz sharif caught red handed buying the judge. Audio evidence available... now guess what, Big brother is Prime minister of Pakistan, Small culprit is CM of Punjab.

Let us agree with you for a moment.

Then:

What did the civilian governments do to improve the standard of living of the common?

What did the politicians do to implement the constitution and to improve the standard of living of the common man by making sure all children get free quality education till graduation.

What did the politicians do to implement and support adult education so that the adults and parents have skills which will let them find decent jobs or find better jobs than they have and support their family and children and the children will only be in school.

What is the number of children not going to school due to their parents being poor and hence are forced to let them work and where do we stand on the globally in this regard?

How many children die due every month due to water related diseases and due to no access to clean drinking water in a country where there are rivers lakes and dams and sea?

How many children get their right as per the constitution which the politicians support?

How many parents get their rights as per the constitution which the politicians support?

How many times did the parliament have sessions pertaining to the rights of the common man?

How many times did the parliament discuss implementation of the constitution and give the citizens all their basic rights which is the DUTY and RESPONSIBILITY of the government and the state and has to be delivered at the door steps of the citizens without the citizen asking for it?

Will you be able to give the answer to the above?

If the above are implemented crime decreases and standard of the living of the common man goes up and you wont have to reply what you replied.

Let me give a good news, if the government does it's duty and from today onwards strictly starts implementing a rule nation wide that all children will have to get education till graduation, and facilitate adult education, the results will only start to show after 20 years from now, and the news which will make us even more happy and feel very fortunate is that we have not yet implemented this on the ground.

So you can imagine where we will be 20 years from now if we keep on supporting the current system where the politicians (including the malvees) are barking for the supremacy of the bloody dirty filthy fxckixx constitution just for their pity share of kick backs and chairs and salaries with attached benefits they get being in the parliament and assemblies and the protocol they get.

They said in election campaign that vote for PTI means vote for PPP. This year,They allocated 2.5 Billion for intelligence bureau. Now, imagine the amount they are spending in Geo & other journalists.
Yesterday while Nisar speech,when he forgot to condemn attack on cameramen , nawaz sharif said "Geo ka namm lo"
Look the hypocrisy, He only named geo, while Punjab police attacked on other 8 TV channels.

If we have democracy why not make laws to make sure the maximum, tenure for president and prime minister should be 2 terms and minimum criteria for sitting in the parliament and nation assembly should be PHD and for provincial assemblies should be masters. In this way the best will come and serve the people and the nation and replace the old lot. But maybe we our politicians believe that we don't have enough people to fill the parliament and assemblies from a population of 180+million.

There are many countries which are younger than us and have requirements of minimum masters to be able to sit in their version of parliament.

I don't see any reason why we should not have the above as a law after all we boast of Pakistanis going abroad and doing super duper and having high ranking posts in many institution and entities around the world and doing their best for the institution they work for. I am sure they would like to come back and serve Pakistan if given a chance and the right environment.

Are our politicians taking steps to make sure that new educated best people and most capable people take charge of the nation or are they making sure that their close relatives, sons and daughters will take charge of the nation after the current lot is buried in the grave to rot.
