RAWALPINDI: Ambassador Sabine Sparwasser, German Special Representative for Pakistan-Afghanistan called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday.

Matters of mutual interest including issues of regional security with particular emphasis on Pak-Afghan border management were discussed during the meeting.

The visiting dignitary acknowledged Pakistan Army’s contributions towards regional peace and stability.

Low Rank ambassadors should be given access to Junior comminication analyst in Military. Not sure why Mr Bajwa has to attend meeting with some random political person from Germany

Looks silly that Highest Rank Pakistani General is sitting with "No Body" from another Embassy

Only Top Brass should be sitting in meeting with General of Pakistan Forces , for strategic dialog , just waste of time otherwise

Hire Interns , or Assign Junior Communication officers for this purpose

General of Pakistan Forces = Status is high (High Rank official)
Germany Ambassador = A bit junior role


Appropriate Person to Meet such delegates :
Junior Intern , Communication Representative from Armed forces Team. Pleasentary exchange and friendly talk and tea drinking

A Captain of Pakistani Forces , assigned in Communication Role or Major would have been sufficient to meet Ambassador of Germany , since it is a unofficial pleasentary exchange

• Posts like Colonel / General should be reserved for High Level Delegate or follow up disussions on MOU for weapons
• Ideally should only meet opposing Generals / Head of state or Defence minister from other nations.

No damage in meeting personally (Junior staff like ambassador) however , just feel this could be handled better so our General has full time to focus on important National Matters

• T-129 or Z10 deals
• Helicopter factory
• Panama Leaks
• Anti Terror Ops
• Block 3 - Thunder Strategic review

No a Major cannot do this role and it's a high level German delegation and these deals are not that big issue that Generals can't have time for these meetings

Well Obama was just a drifter , he had too much time on his had , now we have a difficult situation


General Sahib , Mr Bajwa obviously leading the command from front

1- War on Terror
2- Rad-Ul Fasad (Corruption / Terror 2)
3- Now also indirectly involved in overseeing Joint comission for Panama Leaks

Then we have all these important Contracts that are waiting siging
1- T-129 / Z10
2- Turkish Corvettes
3- Weapons package deal
4- Working with KAMRA to ensure goals are met for Block 3 / National defence

We got no time for talking about Tea and buscuit pleasentaries

If it is a Defence deal like Submarine or Tanks or other major purchase by all means book some time with General

Treat the folks exactly how we were treated when we went to get Submarine order 4-5 years back
