HGV was lying about Hamas truly accepting a two state solution.

They did not, they still rejected an israeli state, stating they would eventually keep fighting for every inch of palestinian lands/palestinian return.
Sammuel pointed this out using quites of HGVs own link.

But it seems having people blatantly lie matters not, that was ignored while other posters jumped on him with a “whataboutism” fallacy.

To which Sammuel responded that Israel, in its history, did at times propose a two state. With the Oslo accords as example.

You then pile ad hominem on him, mentioning netanyahu does not want a two state (which is true, but has SHIT to do with the Oslo accords and the discussed claim that israel NeVER supported two state).

Just piling on, while ignoring the initial point, HGV trying to sugarcoat hamas.
Very tiring, and quite a dishonest way of debating.

When debating with people that see the argument in a 2 dimensional world - one has to lower the standards to fit the poster you are debating with.

Israel paid lip service to the idea of a palestinian state,however the "facts on the ground" to use the israeli terminology are very,very different,now arent they?
What you have in reality is not a state but rather a collection of apartheid style bantustans [palistans?] chopped up by settler only security roads and separation barriers and administered by a collaborationist quisling/vichy style pa.
Thats about as far from a "state" as one can get.

Not to mention theres something really morally warped and repugnant about a bunch of foreign squatters demanding that the indigenous populace recognize the squatters right to a very big chunk of the indigenous populations land[while continuing to steal more],when said squatters wont even recognize the most basic rights of the indigenous populace,never mind their right to a state on their own lands.

It is not easy to destroy a US base in the region. You need to check the size of one and how much firepower a well-defended base can absorb. This is assuming that US will allow any country to destroy its bases in the Middle East. Some of you think about war in very narrow WW1 style sling shot terms.
