The IDF wants to occupy the area, the ground army is massing in full force and the operation can start at any moment. So Israel's goal is to cleanse the area of Palestinians and open it to illegal settlers after occupying it.

The ground operation has not started yet, but the IAF has dropped thousands of bombs on the area, killing at least 2500 civilians.

Israel destroys the area, Israel wants to evacuate it, Israel wants to occupy it.

But it is the Palestinians who are to blame for not leaving the area, and Hamas, the only left armed resistance among the shattered Palestinians.

Most of what you said is true but, he has been good for us. So on that one front, I will disagree but not on others.

I think there is lot more to this Hamas attack, some players behind scenes. No way they did this on their own, but it will take time to come out or maybe never even.

PS. Relevant to Indians here: I was just on phone with my family in Karachi. The atrocities against Gazans are being shown on Pakistan's channels and my mother was in tears describing buildings falling and images of dead babies. Don't worry they will. The US Navy has no choice but to closely coordinate their presence with Turkey and potentially Greece.

Also, the US has not fought a real war in decades, it is easy to fight flip flop militants, but an anti-ship missile can remind you how big of a target an aircraft carrier is, hard to miss lol. Good example is the Russian navy in the black sea, don't think it is invincible.

You also need to research the attack on USS Mason in 2016. The Mason and Nitze downed 9 antiship missiles fired by Houthi rebels off the coast of Yemen.
