Very beautiful. I have heard from some architect that the recipe of making this special blue pigment is unfortunately lost, and we are no longer able to produce the original color anymore :(

Yes, I think so.

are you sure? because nowadays we use such patterns in our mosques. I dont know the recipe is different or not, just they look same for me.

Yeah, they are different. Actually I heard that they have the problem to find the formula to produce the original pigment for Shah(Emam) mosque of Isfahan, because they need to repair these old mosques but if they paint them with some other pigment(some other close blue pigment) they will somehow ruin it as well. It's Extremly hard to repair historical monuments.

The pigments recipes of current mosques are not even the same with each other, and if you try to focus on them you would find the differences, but at the first look, you may not notice the differences ;)
