And we have been developing our own fighters from the 60s,ever heard of HAL Marut?

And try comparing that with our Su 30 MKI,we have designed many of its avionics components,and it is manufactured in India including engines.

They havent designed a single subsystem for JF 17.
On comparison with Su 30.MKI,we have developed Radar Computer,Mission Computer,Programmable display processor,Core Avionics computer & many other components.

So manufacturing a jet fighter (w/o engines) that do not require much of advanced production techniques is not difficult,whereas developing your own 4++ gen fighter is difficult.

And ever heard of Indian Sipersonic LRCM project?Its going to be test fired in 2014,have speed of Mach 3.2 & range above 1000 kms.

Yakhont's speed is 1.8 mach where as brahmos speed is 2.8 Mach. Brahmos can be used in Steep dive mode and can perform double S maneuver. Brahmos can be launched from Underwater.

Russia just Buy 30 Sukhois with same specification as MKIs.
