TEHRAN - The chief of Iran's elite Quds Force has ridiculed calls for Hamas to be disarmed and urged the Palestinian Islamist movement in Gaza to "turn the land and sky into hell" for Israel.

Maj.-Gen. Qassem Suleimani's message to militant factions resisting Israel's military operations in the Gaza Strip was published late Wednesday by Iran's official IRNA news agency.

Suleimani "underlined that confronting the Zionist enemy is a necessity and the Palestinian resistance movement will turn the land and sky into hell for the Zionists."

"Disarmament of resistance is a daydream that will only come true in the graveyard" for Israel, said the rarely quoted senior figure.
The United States and European countries have called for a cease-fire in the devastating Gaza conflict and the disarmament of militant groups in the coastal strip, notably Hamas.

The Quds Force, a branch of Iran's Revolutionary Guard, is highly secretive and conducts security functions abroad deemed necessary to protect the Islamic Republic.

As its leader, Suleimani is seldom mentioned or pictured in Iranian media but he has cultivated a reputation as one of the most influential security operatives in the Middle East.

"The painful scenes in Palestine dishearten us and fills our chests with deep grief arising from deep anger," his statement added. "Martyrdom for Palestine is a dream of every noble Muslim and freedom-seeker."
Suleimani's intervention follows a speech Tuesday by Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, urging the Islamic world to arm the Palestinians and branding Israel's actions in Gaza a "genocide."

Last week, Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said his country had provided Hamas with the technology it has used to rain down rockets on Israel from Gaza.

General Soleimani: Israel to Get Furious Response at “Proper Time”

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The “criminal Zionists” should be mindful that they will receive an eventual response at a proper time in a burst of anger, a high-ranking commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) warned.

In an unprecedented reaction to Israel’s ongoing atrocities in the Gaza Strip, Commander of the IRGC Quds Force Major General Qassem Soleimani pledged on Wednesday that the Tel Aviv regime’s crimes will not remain unanswered.

In his letter to the Palestinian resistance groups, the commander reaffirmed commitment to assisting the anti-Israeli fighters, stressing that the support for resistance will continue until “the land and the sky turn into hell for the Zionists,” Al Mayadeen TV channel reported.

Major General Soleimani also derided any proposal for disarmament of the resistance groups as “failed initiative and illusion”, and underlined that such nonstarter will never materialize.

His comments came amid Israel’s fierce military assaults on the besieged Gaza Strip, which has been battered since July 8.

Palestinian death toll from 24 days of Israeli onslaught on the coastal enclave has surpassed 1,300, while around 7,600 others have been wounded.

Israeli sources have confirmed the deaths of 56 soldiers. However, Hamas says the toll is much higher.
While efforts are underway to broker a ceasefire in Gaza, Tel Aviv says its condition for a truce is demilitarization of Hamas.

The Palestinian resistance group, however, rules that out, stressing that any truce should guarantee an end to the blockade of Gaza as well as the Israeli military attacks on the impoverished enclave.

I wonder how such morons come to occupy the highest echelons of the military? It's frightening actually, because if Iran ever gets to make a nuke, such guys wouldn't hesitate to pull the nuclear trigger and start a nuclear conflagration with Israel! And that would be disastrous not only for the Middle East and West Asia but for the world as a whole.

They are more of empty words than anything meaningful but than again its not only the responsibility of Iran to arm Hamas but falls on the entire muslim world. Israel has gone beyond atrocities, they are committing genocide and with the full support of US pouring in billions to support Israel weapons program, which makes them equally responsible in the genocide of Palestinian people.

Force can only be stopped by force and if the US is hell bent on supporting Israel, than Muslim countries should arm Hamas to fight this tyrant. I don't expect Saudi-e-Arabia to do anything, they are in bed with the US and so is Qatar and Egypt. For them Iran is a bigger enemy than Israel.

I wish my country could ship SAMS to Palestine.
