Yep,we were enslaved by communism like animals for 42 years.There was nothing that we could do about it,especially as the Soviets were backing these regimes,see their interventions in Hungary 1956,Czechoslovakia 1968 against the people who rose up.When the Soviets stopped supporting EE commies the whole of Eastern Europe threw them away.

As for puppet goverments.It happened allready,see the commies backed by the USSR.The goverment in Iraq is a democratic one,chosen by the people.

They stayed for 42 years because they were backed by Soviet troops.As an example they were overthrown in Hungary in 1956 only to be reinstalled by Soviet T34's rolling in Budapest.It was Soviet threat of invasion that kept them in EE.

When the US invade Iraq ,it was done with minimal civilian casualties and power was handed to the Iraqis.What followed was their internal problems.
