coming to topic, i think this is really taking too long, as this rate this deal will be signed in 2018/20 when other countries will have inducted their 5th generation fighters.lool I think India shouldnhave gone for our Eurofighter Typhoon than Rafale. Think if it had done so, then this deal will have been signed a while ago, and the progress would have been much faster. Anyway, in the medium-long term, India should be focusing on its own domestic defence industry and increasing its local defence manufacturing/investing more in its R&D/economy. This will serve it better in the long run.

India just need to drop those stupid request of ToT and dassault responsible of HAL mess will simplify the negotiation. If I am Dassault and ask to bear responsible of HAL assemble Rafale. I will need to increase the whole deal to US 1 trillion.
