Foreign troops to participate in Pakistan Day parade 2017

UAE crown Prince to be chief guest in India - Pakistanis were crying a river in a ridiculous display of self pity, entitlement and India prism. Those threads are still here.

Ehhhh where ?

Whats the significance of South African army chief? China, Turkey and Saudi arabia are traditional allies of Pakistan.. So their participation is very understandable..... Obviously the more countries participate, the better.. Just i am trying to understand tht since when we became soo close to South Africa tht their army chief is guest of honor on 23rd March parade...

He was probably due to meet his Pakistani counterpart during those dates for bilateral relationship between the two armies so why not to have him as a chief guest of the parade as well.

We have had quite good links with the South African military industry. Maybe there is a big deal in the making that we dont know about. Unless of course a routine visit of his coincides with this. That is unlikely as these things are decided months in advance. Let's see.

Well a possible JV can be achieved on further development of JF-17 and missile related stuff. Also Helis can also be looked into.

Pakistan, continuing their 70 year old endeavour of "originality and not becoming a not- India" invite troops and some army chief (both honors nobody would turn down) - Pakistanis are chest thumping naming India.

Grow up. You are are a big country with a history and culture. Act like it.

And yes, enjoy your parade and congratulations in advance.
sonny once Pakistani President was also chief guest at your RD parade but still we are your enemy

I know you are upset. the venom is dripping off your post. Well, Modi shouldn't have threatened to isolate us. He tried and tried and is still trying and guess what? You failed. And failed spectacularly. The World doesnt give a damn what India or Indians think. That is what grates you. For a country your size, which claims a 5000 year history, you are nowhere geo-politically except for an emerging whipping boy for the United States of America. Enjoy your coming slavery. Now stop derailing threads with your nonsense.

What a low quality post.

Yes it is our desire to isolate you on the issue of terrorism. What has that got to do with foreign troops accepting the honor of participating in your national day parade I don't know.

For example we want to build connectivity and trade with Pakistan through SAARC. How do you see that in yerms of "isolation"? It's just your silly lack of maturity and hate filled terrorism loving upbringing that makes you talk smack on internet.

And on terrorism issue, 14 out of 15 UNSC voted for prescribing azhar, only China vetoing it, at the small price of buying you sovereignty at 40 pct ROE. We are happy, you are happy. Now keep chest thumping and parading your maturity.

Indeed. Granted Modi is perhaps a bit bombastic but there's a great deal of truth to the notion that international perceptions about Pakistan have gone south dramatically since 9/11. I see it in subtle ways every now and then - and differences with US policy is only a tiny part of that reason. Just the other day a Swedish student at her ABD level visibly flinched when asked during a talk whether she had any plans to travel to Pakistan to do a comparative study after finishing with Colombo, Singapore and Delhi - on the subject of colonial legacies in domestic law enforcement. Whats amazing is that most of this is self-inflicted.

Back to topic

Turkey will gleefully send a whole army to parade in any nation that declares Gulen a criminal.

Nothing in that post made any sense. It is waffle at best. Low quality indeed. Go back to school, schoolboy.

South Africa is bang in the middle of South America (Brazil specifically) and Gwadar route. All these military ties are to do with securing maritime trade routes where SA ports are of significant importance.

SA military chief being a chief guest is no coincident, it is part of the message we are sending to the world.
