If i may as an outsider i think India under Modi is going the exact same route Pakistan went under Zia and of which we are still bearing the brunt of rationalization of our society.

This is my personal opinion. Feel free to disagree.

I ask this because when Zia incorporated the Wahbi Ideology, it was because we wanted to teach Soviets a lesson over their role in 71, Its like they say when you think of getting revenge dig two graves one for them and for yourself. Is India going down the same route? The sole idea of punishing Pakistan is that much deep rooted within the Indian general populace that they would vote anyone in even if it destroys the very fabric of the Indian society in general?

In short (I feel too disturbed to write in detail, rationally) no. It is nothing to do with Pakistan. It has everything to do with the transformation of Indian society. A transformation that was due to come about, but is awful in its impact, its scope and its dimensions as it happens. An unhappy day.
