Indian tourists are 1/3 of tourist numbers from China who number the highest and much smaller fraction of total tourist arrivals

That is just nonsense. BD economy is rising and they r doing well. The only advantage india has is that of close links with haseena family and elites of BD. Those peanuts u talk can be replaced by chinese much more efficiently. China is building naval force of BD, weapons sales are increasing. BD is going to be an active and important node for BRI. A change in govt will even hasten the process of BD slipping away frm India.

First of all, not over hundred countries. Secondly, all i see is one country pushing its own agenda in a organisation that really doesnt matter. And the fact that this country itself has a pretty bad track record when it comes to its own minorities, makes it even less important.

Most of the countries in the organisation have friendly relations with india anyway.

And i do feel ashamed of the way the indian govenrment is treating their muslim population, but not because of what is said in a useless organisation.

It's the same as Iceland supporting USA in the "Grand coalition" of nations for attacking Iraq , back in the days.
These small nations are insignificant and have to side with a large country on which their economy relies and they cannot disobey that regional bully .

I remember that grand coalition! Weren't Vanuatu and Moldova in there too just in case things got a bit dicey in downtown Baghdad?
