Not really.Hi,
Russian failure is just like Iraq's failure in 1st GW---.
It gave too much time to the west to send weapons to ukraine---.
When russia attacked ukraine---it was a surprise---a recipe for failire right from the gitgo---. It was of sheer stupidity on part of russia to attack 30 days too late---.
The US and GB intelligence (and not the french one, sadly) was aware of the russian compaign. If the decided to attach 30 days before the US & GB intelligence would have alerted 30 days before.
The russian tried to take Kiev by surprise, thinking that the ukrainian government fall in fear and escape from the country. They failed. They underestimated their opponent. A deep error.
Or their own intelligence made a wrong analysis (maybe they just gave to Puttin not the reality but what he was pleased to hear), or they were unable to bring together enough forces to be sure to win 100%.
