India practicing blitzkrieg? As the glacier roads fiasco shows, its services can't even jointly plan their strategic development together. I'd love to witness the exercises for they must surely be a comedy of errors - from a safe location, of course.

I'm not saying India can't do it, only that it'll take a lot of practice - and more careful thinking between the services.

i do agree to some extent on the comments of solomon. there is total lack of synergy between three services. army, IAF, navy follow their own agenda and thats why they have resisted the concept of Chief of defence staff.

i know situation is improving but the pace of improvement is not commensurate with time. we need to start practicing joint warfare on regular basis.

may be this exercise will help improve synergy between services.

blitzkrieg is still a modern concept and very relevant. If you are not a defense specialist you will not understand this. Covet Operations are always for the special forces and not for the strike corps. If you do not understand whats the role of each division please do not poke into it.

India is buying "modern" weapons but fights (or atleast practices) wars that were fought in 1940s. 3 (4?) wars with PureLand (country that is next door and shares huge border with us) has proven the limits of any blitzkrieg. But I bet it pleases the crowd back home..
