What we have always been told here in Turkey by media and officials is that Pakistan is/was one of our best friends in the world. So, we think/believe it is. And a friend must always back his friend not only when things go smooth but also when got in trouble. This is what our culture say us.

Russia violated our airspace more than once , and got punished for. This simple.

Rusia may have more military gears than us. But they dont have the brave hearth which Turkish soldiers have. This comes from not a young keyboard warrior but from some one who spent long time in Turkish Army. I dont think the world witnessed such a great brave soldiers ever. I dont think there is a soldier on earth other than Turkish who goes to war like going to a wedding. I saw it by my own eyes, i am the witness.

Pakistan's bonds with Turkey can never be affected by any geopolitical alliances, this alliance predates the creation of both countries, when our ancestors went to fight for the Turks on horseback in their war of independence and WWI, Pakistan, no matter what, will stand with Turkey.

Pak-Turk bonds transcend the concept of self interest (common in international relations), these bonds were formed even before the two countries were created, these bonds were formed between the people of these two regions, out of respect for each other !!!

What did arabs do in WWI, they revolted against Ottoman empire, while our ancestors went on horseback to fight for Turks, soldiers revolted against British, changed sides, many were caught and hanged. This relationship predates creation of both countries. Its not about being muslim, even an athiest Turk or an athiest Pakistani will consider each other as allies.

Talk about today. We were not even an independent state. Turkey is pretty liberal country and in Pakistan this word is taken as a curse. We just share religion and that is IT. Mughals spoke an old Turkic language called “Chagatai”. The development of Urdu, the culture of Indian muslims, their architecture, music, folklore, arts, food, clothing all were developed during the rule of Delhi sultunates and Mughal Empire , both dynasties were Turkic in origin. Turks led muslims for 600 years, it was respect for them , that drove thousands of muslims from Northwestern part of subcontinent (present day Pakistan) on horseback to fight for Turks in WWI and subsequently their war of independence. Muslims of subcontinent viewed Turkey as an opposing force to neutralize western imperialism and colonialism. Hence Pak-Turk bonds predate the creation of two countries.

With all due respect..I don't want to give advise but Pakistan don't need to interfere in others war as they did in Afghanistan, best thing is to give moral support and do business. As India do with USA, Russia, China, Japan, Iran, Israel, Ukraine we give our support/protest on issues and own national interest.

Modi is one of most vocal leaders on ISIS but for sure India would be one of last countries sending it troops but we are giving four Mi-35 to Afghanistan based on calculated interest of both nation

Mainly we just share religion and right now we are talking about the relations Turkey and Pakistan Have today. Also, who should Pakistan favor Russia or Turkey. My uncle (Allah rest his soul) served in Bosnia during the war.. He told us stories that made our blood boil..

P.S; Did you know many shipments were actually caught during transfer and there was shit Pak troops had to face.. Wish more could have been done..

P.S; I know this guy who fought in Bosnia.. He entered Bosnia illegally and spent 2 years fighting with the mujahideen.. In his group there were 6 Pakistanis -- 4 rest in Bosnia.
