the only reason turkey helped pakistan was that both pakistan and turkey were in the same block.

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Monday called on Turk President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara and discussed national and regional matters.

According to a handout, he congratulated the Turk president over victory in election and said that the success of ruling party in election reflected unconditional confidence in the performance of government and his leadership by the people of Turkey.

Turk President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey considers Pakistan its best friend and Turk government and the people wanted to see Pakistan progressing.

He said that heart of Turkey beats with heart of Pakistan, adding that their problems and joys were common. The Turkish president said that Pakistani people had equal rights over our resources and Turk people were always ready to extend cooperation to Pakistan in every sector.

He said the support of Turk people and prayers of Pakistani people were included in this success. The chief minister said that he had come to Turkey with the felicitation message and congratulation on behalf of Pakistani people.

Shahbaz said the people of Pakistan were grieved over the recent incidents of terrorism in Turkey.

He expressed the hope that Turkey would continue similar cooperation to Pakistan in other sectors particularly energy.-APP

Common history and values are there for sure but it should be known that ruling political party akp or erdogan does not own these values and can make mistakes of all sorts that hurts Turkey. It is a duty for a friend to warn me when I make mistakes. We have no reason to support Russia. They always supported India, against Pakistan. Anyway, we broke Soviet Union with the help of U.S.A and other allies and we took revengue of Soviet Union role in 1971 war.

We just share religion. Nothing else! Our culture and traditions are different. Turks enslaved us for centuries. And if you talk about religion and make it the base to be "friends" with Turks. Then We need to understand that even Bangladesh got separated from us p even after sharing the faith. What about Iran and KSA? They share the religion too. Rusia may have more military gears than us. But they dont have the brave hearth which Turkish soldiers have. This comes from not a young keyboard warrior but from some one who spent long time in Turkish Army. I dont think the world witnessed such a great brave soldiers ever. I dont think there is a soldier on earth other than Turkish who goes to war like going to a wedding. I saw it by my own eyes, i am the witness.

Turkic military records during the great wars have been dismal.
All soldiers are motivated under the right leadership which Turkey did not have during the great wars.
