you forget the fact that china is still in a western created system. dollar reigns supreme. US & western countries still hold the ace, to think that china can outwit western world in their own system is a bit far fetched.

If a colony spawned by Britain could overtake it by 1880s when Britain was the superpower of the world why is it far fetched to think that China with it's long recorded history as a mighty power can not be ascendant?

4- Change of governments through various means, example, Color revolutions, to gain control.
5- Controlling through corruption, such as Financial aid to governments, example Pakistan, which is meant for the "Ruling Political and Bureaucratic" class and never reaches ordinary masses.

Last time I checked, USA was doing pretty good in "Arts, literature, and cultural activities" with NAFTA and WTO still in place.
