Many religious Muslims especially from South Asia/South East Asia had very favourable views towards Iran prior to Syrian war as it were seen as one of the few nations that stood against Israel due to rhetoric and few military acts against Israel/West which ironically resulted in killing more Palestinians/Arabs and furthering Palestinians from quest for statehood. But after initial stages of Syrian civil war, now Iran is seen as an enemy of Muslims. Aside from domestic support, I really have no idea what they gained from worldwide influence.

I don't agree with the second paragraphs. Politicians around the world just couldn't care less about race or religion. What's valuable for them is wealth, luxury and power. That's the ugly truth in 99.99% cases. They could be personally racist but I don't think it influences the political actions they take.
