That would be a very good order---but realistically---an order of 36 aircraft---6 two seaters and 30 single seaters would be a good start---.

Pakistani posters are still not intelligent enough to understand---or have a lack of learning ability---.

The ferry range of a fighter aircraft is least important factor---it is the combat radius that determines the ability of a fighter / strike aircraft---.

That would be a very good order---but realistically---an order of 36 aircraft---6 two seaters and 30 single seaters would be a good start---.

Most likely Initial order will be between 14 to 16 planes.

I don't think RMAF can afford J10c with 4000KM ferry range, unless we give them soft loan.

We are not interested to sell if they can't pay cash. JF17 is the only fighter fit in their bills.

RMAF want a cost-effective fighters to be inducted in numbers, few fancy Typhoons can't solve its problem.

Malaysia had begun to induct Chinese weapons since last few years, such as navy patrol ships/AR-3 long range multi-caliber rocket system / off shore surveillance radar. ... And it shall pave the way for JF17.

I hope JF17 will serve in RMAF.

Politically China needs Malaysia to be with us or at least being neutral. So China may offer a very attractive offer to Malaysia that they can't refuse.
i mean both China and Pakistan are trying to promoting Jf17 to RMAF.

If Malaysia can pay good price, Pakistan will fit in whatever western equipment they need on JF17. Still far cheaper than those western competitors.

buying J-10 might put Malaysia in Chinese camp in the eyes on Washington and Brussels and Malaysia has lot to do with west. and giving the recent sanctions of russian defence industry, its now little hard to trade with russia.

so, neutral candidate will be JF-17 with comparative packages..

Well 18 Plane order would be a nice start for a Rich country like Malaysia I can imagine a 100 plane order for a Workhorse designated platform

They really do need a proper Workhorse unit like JF17 to be there for their own Border protection and airspace protection

After looking at what happened to Syria or Libya one can never be too neutral in world
Or even examining the Rohingia crisis Tremdous loss of life

I am rather pessimistic on this deal.

Malaysia is already flying good planes such as F18, SU30MKM. JF17 just doesnt fit the requirement of the RMAF.

Old != Bad. Maintenance is key. Both jets are very capable. I would say proven to be better than JF17.

whatever defence deal happens with Malaysia in past was during Mahathir Muhammad's Premiership.

anza and bakhtar shikan deal happen during his reign. and the biggest thing is that he has views kind of Erdagon.

A jet fighter purchase is a big decision and I don't think the new government will make that much of a difference to the strategic position.
