Drone was IRAN MADE

Summary:

Hezbollah launched the drone from Lebanon. It flew over the sea and entered Palestine at some point close to Gaza. On its route over the sea, it flew in the Israeli air space (70 km from land) and Israeli operational space(150 km from land). It took photos of Israeli navy ships and installations as well as Gas drilling sites. The Israelis still do not know from which point it entered the land. They give 3 possible points. There it flew over sensitive areas such as command of air force, some air bases... In total it flew over 300 km for more than 3 hours ... Israeli radars were not able to detect it at all ... only an Electro Optical system was able to detect it ... Israel had to shoot 2 missiles to hit it.

The drone is larger and better than Mirsad-1 drone used before. It is made in Iran and assembled in Lebanon ... It can transmit images in real time... The path it took over the sea and over the land means it has an accurate navigation system

The drone is now called Ayub after the name of prophet Ayub and Shahid Ayub whose photo is shown above. He was martyred in 1996 at the age of 24 .. he was one of the founders of the air wing of Hezbollah and the commander of this wing until his death.

I wonder what the people want??
they did not want Israel to finish their problem neither they want Palestinians to go to Arabian countries.

It is clear enough from history that Israelis and Palestinians can not live together. Since Israel is the only country for jews, the palastinians can migrate to muslim countries. There are 52 muslim countries in in the world. They can migrate to any of them according to their choice. Also the population of Palestinians is not huge so it would not be a problem for new host nation to accept them.

Okay using the same logic. Chinese are going to come and forcefully invade India, then India and Indians should migrate to other Countries to solve the problem once and for all.. Again this is your same exact logic.

Yeah,it's like Pakistanis come to India and kick all Hindus out of India and say'' go find yourself another home'.Would you accept it?

Israel has stolen their land,so telling they should migrate to another Muslim country is really stupid,no matter how many Arab and Muslim countries are out there,52 or 520000.

Hezbollah sent a toy plane in desperate attempt to distract attention from the slaughter in Syria. Toy plane was shot down over empty area without inflicting any damage.

It took photos of Israeli navy ships and installations as well as Gas drilling sites.
So where are pics? If Heszbollah had them they would boast all over.

But all Hezbollah could show is some lousy cartoon

P.S. By the way, if you want to film Israeli gas installations u can just buy camera, rent a civilian helicopter for couple thousand dollars and picture them. Since they are located in international waters Israel cant to anything.

If Israel has stolen their land then where is Israel's land? Have they come from black whole? Jews has something to do with Jerusalem as their holy land. obviously Jerusalem cant be shifted from one place to other.

why you Guys let a toy !!! plane to enter your airspace ???

Do you Really think we are damn Idiots ??? :disagree:

Thats a leap of judgement :) It was reported some soldier saw the drone and let his superiors know, who send F-16's after it, since Israel's SAMs cant do the job.

There are mixed news about this incident, and for argument sake lets assume Israel's radars did noticed the drone, how come they allowed drone to fly hundreds of km., near the critical installations? Doesnt make any sense.

Shoot it down while its over populated areas? Doesn't make sense to shoot it down that could lead to deaths would it? And Israel is pretty small area. Wouldn't need to get that far inland.

Oh by the way reason why no SAM shot it down.

Israeli officials have deployed a Patriot surface-to-air anti-missile battery to northern Israel Monday, in an apparent response to the appearance of a mysterious drone in Israeli airspace over the weekend.

On Saturday, an Israel Air Force jet shot down an unmanned aerial drone over the Negev desert in southern Israel. Israeli officials said they believed the craft had originated in Lebanon and was controlled by the Lebanese terror group Hezbollah.

According to the Israel Defense Force, the drone entered Israel from Mediterranean, flying over the Gaza Strip and then over the Negev. It was shot down south of the West Bank.

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon said it had not detected any drone flying from Lebanese airspace into Israeli airspace on Saturday. No group has yet made a direct claim of responsibility for the drone, though a television station associated with Hezbollah said that a Hezbollah aircraft had flown 100 kilometers into Israel and created "much tension."

Hezbollah had not previously been known to possess drone technology.

State media in Iran, Hezbollah's sponsor, said the incursion "exposed the weakness of Israel's Iron Dome anti-missile defense system" and quoted an official who said the system "does not work." Israel's "Iron Dome" system is meant to destroy incoming rockets and artillery shells.

According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, IDF officials said that the decision to place a Patriot battery in the northern city of Haifa, close to the Lebanese border, was not an emergency measure.

Patriot batteries have been deployed to Haifa in the past. During Israel's war against Hezbollah in 2006, anti-missile batteries were brought to the city to fend off a barrage of Hezbollah rockets. Hezbollah fired about 3,700 rockets into northern Israel during the war, killing 44 Israeli civilians.

First you need to scramble a jet to identify it. To check that its not some lost civilian plane or something.
Then you need to get permition t shoot it down.
Then you need to find area so it wont crash on civilians.

Thats it. We made such toys 35 years ago:

Tadiran Mastiff, could fly over 1000 km and transmit video in real time. With help of these toys we destroyed massive Syrian air defence in Lebanon.

It could be a Sesna or powered glider:

Iran_RQ-170.jpg

If Israel had something to do with the explosion in the south lebanon that killed 3 hezbollah's members then this is hezbollah's response, and about the long time israelis took to shut down the drone they say that the israelis were trying to hack into the drone's system like Iran did with the RQ-170 but they couldn't.

The air force required two shots to bring down the drone that penetrated deep into the country’s airspace Saturday, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Wednesday, suggesting the operation was not the major success initially proclaimed.

The report, which cited an unnamed official, said that in addition to the drone flying around “for some 30 minutes,” while F-16 fighter jets trailed it, the pilots missed their first attempt to hit the target.

According to Yedioth Ahronoth’s account of the events, after the initial warning systems detected the drone flying over the Mediterranean Sea into Israeli airspace, two F-16 fighter jets were scrambled to intercept it.

A pilot trailed the drone, and fired a panther missile – considered the most advanced in the IDF arsenal — towards the drone. Shortly afterwards a second missile was shot at the drone — this time successfully hitting the target — while it was flying north of Beersheba.

Hours after the incident, Defense Minister Ehud Barak congratulated IDF Chief of General Staff Benny Gantz and head of the Israel Air Force, Amir Eshel, on a job well done.

“We had monitoring contact from the ground and from the air. We alerted jet planes that escorted the unmanned aerial vehicle and due to some operational considerations we decided to intercept the unmanned aerial vehicle in the northern Negev area, where there are no residents,” IDF Spokesperson Lt. Col. Avital Leibovich said.

According to the report, this was the first time the IAF had missed hitting an enemy drone. Hezbollah has flown drones into Israeli airspace a few times in the past, though not for several years.

However, a senior IAF official told the paper that small targets such as drones are extremely difficult to hit with precision every time, adding that “other countries with such advanced air defense systems [like Israel's] would not be able to shoot every drone down, without error.”

The IAF said it would conduct an investigation into the incident, but the particular findings would not be divulged publicly.

After an initial investigation, military officials said the drone was likely dispatched from Lebanon.

Iran claimed that the drone managed to capture images from Israel’s Negev nuclear facility in Dimona, according to an al-Arabiya report. However, Israeli reports indicated that the drone was relatively primitive and incapable of relaying real-time information back to its dispatchers.
