LOL. Even USA has no defence against China's Carrier Killer missile.

Yes Pakistan needs and Aircraft carrier. Since China is building one for herself , Pakistan should also asked or joint efforts with China to build another one for the Pakistan.
AC carrier is Angraiz ki Tie.... and for this tie you'll need to buy a full suit. Destroyers, Frigates, Battleships, Subs, etc etc..... We cant afford this much neither we need this much..... Navy should focus more on stealth frigates and subs.... And Ships and subs should be upgraded to level so that they can become platform to lauch cruise missile....
I was about to courier it, i saw ur post
There is nothing indigenous with India. The aircraft carrier is built with assistance from Russia while the US and EU are also helping. Nuclear submarine built with the help, transfer of technology, training and weaponry from Russia, US and EU. Scorpense being built under licence. India is also procuring massive weaponry, technology and anti-missile system from Israel.
Hi,
we dont need one
India can defend all of its coastline quite comfortably through surface ships and submarines. As for defending sea lines beyond India's waters, I think the only rival India could face is China. Neither China nor India will use their A/C's in even a major standoff. Its too risky. Hence, the A/C's are quite useless at the moment. Only when a country becomes a major economic power (in terms of PPP, i.e. very little poverty), can there be a justification for an A/C.
But of course, India can do whatever it wants. I think India's carriers will be vulnerable targets during any serious conflicts, despite the accompanying protection.
If u look at the fact that India got a 35yr old , 17000ton LPD capable of carrying 6 Helicopters and 1000 marines for only 52 Million USD , while Pakistan is Paying 78 Million USD for a 33 Yr old 4000 ton frigate
This tells u who has got a better deal and who has got a raw deal
If u guys insist on a platform capable of supporting fixed wing aircrafts then u can try convincing the US to Sell one of the 2 Tarawa class LHD/Harrier carriers like the USS Nassau WHICH WILL BE UP FOR DECOMMISSIONING IN 2015 , after 36 yrs in service
Now this ship can carry upto 20 Harriers and 10 Helicopters along with 1900 Marines and it will not cost more than 300 Million USD u can spend another 150 Million USD on 15-20 Second hand harriers and replace them with F35B when they become available to u after 2025

Who says Nassau will come available for sale or military aid? USN post-WW2 has never given over a flattop of any sort to foreign countries.
What state do you thing USMC Harriers are in (again assuming these are available)
Assuming it is available for sales, what to fly from her? WOrn out GR9s or SHARs?
How are Harriers going to match up against Mig29k or Su-33 or like? Not a real option.
