Do you think ancient India should have been like China?

. .
But then why can Chinese citizens freely travel to other parts of the world though? If they were enslaved, surely the government would prohibit all outbound travel to prevent a refugee crisis right? Believe me I am not saying the Chinese gov has good human rights or anything but what you're saying simply makes zero sense at all. In slavery, do you think the master would allow slaves to freely travel?

They can travel freely in other parts and not in china if they say anything against Dictator Xi.

again, you do not make sense. You are saying that people are enslaved in China. But then you are saying that they can do all thing any free person can do but criticize Xi. So are you saying that the only thing people can’t do is criticize Xi? Otherwise, people are more free than India?

. .
China that was unified under Qin Shi Huang introduced a standardized writing system which inevitably boosted the economy, innovation and laid foundation to what China is today. India on the other hand focused on diversity and the result was the empire fragmenting into many smaller states only to never recover again. Having a large population under a unified culture brings great benefits and the military power it provides would have been enough to repel invasions to India.

What do modern Indians think about this?
There is no ancient India but ancient Indus which is present day Pakistan. Please correct your self and note that Indians are cheerleaders of others civilizations. Even Tamil civilization is not Indians and they are claiming heritage of old Buddhist monks as their own. Texila (currently in Pakistan) is best example which they claim to be their and called it Tax-Shila

.
China was unified before religions became popular in the world.
