If I Know that you are going to fail your statistics paper( because I know your kartoot as an intimate friend) and you fail your statistics paper did my foreknowledge cause your failure or your own inapt interest or study caused it?

there is a marked difference between foreknowledge and predestination.

In God's knowledge both the predestined design which we can't exceed/change(hence we are not answerable for) and the foreknowledge of our existential self/actions(which we can change and are answerable for) exist. Both of them together are called qadr or taqdeer in classical terms the former is called taqdeer e mubram and the later is called taqdeer e muallaq its taqdeer e muallaq we are answerable for otherwise there is no point....

we had and have a degree of freedom both in the knowledge of God and just for the sake of understanding in this world in which we exist now in this very space-time continuum such is the nature and design of God
P.s in classical parlance the degree of freedom that we have is called qadr which literally means measure and space-time continuum is called zaman o makan.
