Did Prophet Muhammad Warn Us of ISIS?

Yes it is my belief.... This belief is based on what ever i read or what ever learnt in my life....... Do you have anything to prove me wrong????

Every religion is based on belief right?

I could not reply your post earlier as i was browsing from my phone and not in a position to post from my phone......
ok.. fair enough.. I guess I should not argue with beliefs..
just that there are lots and lots of religions in the world and unless you expertise in that field, its not possible to make such blanket statement.
Most of the time its intended to be feel good, sort of things teenage girls say.. 'bad pplz do bad stuff..good pplz do good stuff.. so we all happy good brothers sisters.. peace and love '

I think you are forgetting the fact that life has a cycle, they say that a rainbow appears after a storm, so also after every good phase there's a bad phase not just for a human but for the entire human race; Prophet Muhammad was predicting the rise of a negative force, like the way it has been predicted in Geeta, Bible and other religious texts.
It's a part of the cycle!!!

Blabbering??
It's not blabbering or a prediction.
You see it's not a typical "prediction"....but a universal fact.

Ok boss lady!
:-)

But someone attributes a fortune telling cookie to Prophet pbuh, I should politely point out. That's all.
Plsssss!!!
Our life is like a sinusoidal wave with its sets of crests and troughs.
How difficult it is for someone as wise as the Prophet to predict that Islam would touch it's trough before it rises again to the crest like everything else in this world??

I know you don't like the fact that this thread was posted by me. I'm sorry.

Off course.

yeap.

But someone attributes a fortune telling cookie to Prophet pbuh, I should politely point out. That's all.

Let me put it this way: If I say (not that I am, please do not accuse me of blasphemy) that I believe that the Prophet PBUH made all these predictions as were mentioned above, or that he said something that you disagree with, what does it matter to you? Why should you take it upon yourself to point out the difference between what you believe and what I believe? If we accept that any religion is a set of personal beliefs, then it follows that they are all equally valid and hence equally respectable. Isn't it better to concentrate on things that really matter, for example if I cut in line in front of you?

What's the amplitude of this sinusoidal wave?

Just curious.

p.s. Please do not treat Prophet pbuh as some kind of Nostradamus. Because he was not!
p.p.s. I was expecting someone like @zravan to post this and not you. But it was a pleasant surprise that you posted something outside your usual domain.

religions are based on belief.. but study on religion is factual.. and its possible (and highly likely) that people who study comparative religion dont necessarily believe in all of them.

If you say these things in my house, while sitting in drawing room, sipping hot tea, and eating biscuits?

Then I'll politely laugh at you, and quit inviting you for tea and dinner. As I do not keep friends who go CucKoo.

Here on PDF, I'll express my opinion. That's all.

Though i agree that the study would be factual..... But the study is on beliefs right???

Choosing one's friends who share your values and beliefs is perfectly understandable, and indeed natural. Expressing one's opinion is great too. But now let's extend your analogy in this global village where people with differing faiths have to interact with each other for any number of reasons. All of these interactions will go much smoother when the beliefs of either party are kept private and not used to influence of enforce upon each other. Any attempt to ridicule or force is not likely to end well.

Hence, to you, your religion, to me, mine. Let's keep religion where it belongs and all of mankind is well. If we don't, collectively, we all pay the price.

I mean seriously ...how difficult is it to predict that winters arrive after Autumn???

If he can tell you what happen in after life, why cant he tell you what happen 1400 yrs later?

Leave aside religion -

Is it too tough to predict based on pragmatic analysis of future possibilities? He might have simply seen through weak points of Islam and a possibility of few exploiting the same in future.

@levina - I am back.

You got it all reversed bhai jaan.

My comments on a fortune telling, jaado giri etc are in response to stuff posted on a forum.
This is different from the case when you go inside another man's chruch, temple, mosque and tell them they are wrong.

Please do not treat PDF as your temple.

It is a public place and hence open to comments.

Hope this clarifies.

That's quarterly cycle. not 1400 years long cycle. one is natural, the other is fantasy.
What you posted Levina Ji was fortune cookie telling.

I am sure you are familiar with fortune cookie. Right?

Would you believe the cookie if it tells you to buy a lottery on 34 5 6 9 1?

what is the unifying force?
Hint: Medieval interpretations of Islam

Also remember that Islamic civilisation is one in decline, since the 1800s
No, Islamic "Civilisation" has been in decline since Mongol invasions

Similar violent passages are in the Bible and worse are in the Old Testament. But the followers chose to not follow every word in the literal sense. If they did, we would have seen gay couples being hanged in NY for example.
Peace be upon the Christ and Moses, at least their followers didn't turn out like today's jihadi cults.
