Did Pakistan have any historical religious personality on its land ?

pretty sure since a lot of pre-islamic religions have flourished in the place, there would be people of importance visiting or living there. Isnt the budhist university in Pakistan? just go to the world heritage sites in pakistan list - taxila (budhist university). pretty sure there were some king sized budhists in that place.

Religious or Islamic?
arent they both similar? isnt islam a religion?

When the messenger becomes more important than the message, problems occur. That is the irony of humankind.
Painting with too broad a brush here. For example, while Moses is a very important prophet, according to the Torah EVERY Jew heard what G-d said at Mt. Sinai. So probably because Moses was just a guy who communed with G-d more than others before and afterwards there is no "Moses" cult - indeed, it can be argued that in several ways Moses' conduct was not so admirable - for Jews' did not have to believe in Moses' himself for his words to have credibility.

Maybe religions other than Judaism can also cite such an example but I haven't heard of them.

If we look at just Islam the answer is different but if we take other religions the answer is completely different

What are your thoughts on beef burger?

All those tombs are fake, all stories related to them are created in India, implemented by PPP mostly during 90's and than once again during Zardari rule.
However in Hingol national park, there are graves of some soldiers of the Arab army lead by Mohammad bin Qasim.
Those are just simple graves, only special about them is history.
They run money making rackets on shrines. The gaddi nasheens make most money out of it, plus in the name of spirtual healing many women and kids get molested and people dont even report.
I am distantly related to one of the most popular saints in pakistan , I dont he was a naik person or not but i respect him but that does not mean i would go and sit at his shrine and pray to him Allah say yeh dilwa dain woh dilwa dain. Aik duniya unka mizar visit kartee hai and put chadars and what weird stuff? I dont even get how a dead person will get your prayers fulfilled from Allah?

Zardari even got benazirs shrine built, what else to expect. Give few decades people will be sitting on her mizar praying , Bibi Allah say yeh murad dila dain woh murad dila dain"

I was watching a pakistani drama some long time back just watched some short part of last episode. A woman who was the herione her husband gets shot , she feels extremely shocked and runs and runs towards a mizar and throws herself before saints grave and hold it from one side, then joins hands together and cries and cries and prays , i was so shocked? I mean WTH? Is not in hadees that when prophet would face calamity he would rush to offer salah nafals.

I love beef burger and bacon. And history is something written by people...if the land remembers the atrocities committed by men it wont be as bountiful as it is today.

God spoke to Moses alone even by Torah's words. The burning bush incident occurred when Moses was alone.

Had god spoken to every Jew we would not require Aaron in history

I am not a Torah expert and you can educate me on that. But many people who belong to the Jewish faith i have frequented never claimed such a thing.

As far as the analogy of the cult is concerned one can theoretically debate on it for hours. But that would be an unfair waste of time and resource which can be applied to any historical religious figure.

Jews are a people; Judaism is Jews' faith. Not all Jews are so familiar with the Torah.

Hours? Why not "forever" as long as there's no rules and no one concedes? How honest a debate would that be? And would really determined fanatics care about being honest about it?

Allah has already told us in Quran that he sent messengers to every nation (16:36) so yes there must've come a messenger on today's land we call Pakistan.

I am sure you do. I have yet to run into a internet Indian who does not like meat. We all know meat dishes are central to Indian food like wine is on a French table.

today's land we call Pakistan.
Why do, really why do Paks insist on qualifying "Pakistan" with "land we call"? I mean every land superceded by significant margin whatever name we call it now.

Before 1492 nobody knew about Americas. Yet we don't say "the land that is now America had Incas roaming on it"? There are other examples in abundance. Time we gave up the qualifier and just said "Pakistan".

Hello .
As we know majority of our prophets and saints belonged to middle east and Israel .
I wanted to know does this land (now Pakistan) had any such prophet or any historical religious personality on its land ?

Are there any remnants of any prophet or any companions of our and others prophets?

There's a city in balochistan , perhaps a way or a pass where the signs of footsteps of hazrat Ali r.a are said to be exist .. people come there to visit it, is it true or fake ?

I'm asking it cause I'm interested in history . If anybody found it dumb , then just go and comment somewhere else . Don't spam my thread .

Footsteps that are said to be hazratAlis (r.a) in balochistan .

Allah says in the Holy Qur'an

As it is mentioned in the Quran, what means: "And for every nation is a messenger. So when their Messenger comes, it will be judged between them in justice, and they will not be wronged." [Quran 10:47] And: "And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying]: 'Worship Allah and avoid Taaghoot [i.e., false deities]'. And among them were those upon whom error was [deservedly] decreed. So proceed [i.e., travel] through the earth and observe how was the end of the deniers." [Quran 16:36]

So there is no place on earth where the messenger was not sent? In that case there must have been Prophets or Messengers sent to present day Pakistan as well. But since no such record exists it is hard to find the graves or names of these prophets. There are claimed Prophets however such as one near my city with grave of 200+ feet and people claiming he was a Prophet, some even going to extent of calling him the son of Prophet Adam (PBUH).

Only Allah knows the best about their true identity...

I don't think the feet of Hazrat Ali R.A as shown in your post are truly the feet of Hazrat Ali R.A. as he never travelled to that part of the world to begin with. People make stories but you never know if a stone was brought from Arab nation... I do not know

Well one can entertain a thought without accepting it.

Its quite fanatical thinking if you believe every philosophical debate should end by a concession from someone.

Middle east is lucky in this sense that all three major Religions i.e Islam, Christianity and Judaism were originated from there eventhough Quran mention that Allah has sent a large number of messengers /Prophets for every nation but we dont know the names of all of them and only know about those whom names mentioned in Quran. Many saints and scholars were also from central asia like cities of Bukhara or samarkand which was hub of knowledge in the past. Pakistani also converted into Islam recently as compare to other nations and tribes
Saying that why most Prophets were from middle east and no one was from south asia is same like saying why God did not picked any female as prophet so it was entirely decison of GoD to pick and choose Prophet from wherever he wanted

I never said why God didn't chose anyone from here , I only asked cause of my interest in islamic history . God is mighty , he can do what he wills we've no power or right to question him.

Its near the city of Gujrat

There was a documentary I was watching few days ago but I can't find it anymore.. They claim its Hazrat Qanbeet A.S grave who was supposedly the son of Prophet Adam although I have never heard of such personality in my life

But it is quite popular place (not in my city but nearby). I remember I went to that place after the Kargil war and people were claiming because of its close proximity to Indian border there was a lot of shelling and bombs thrown in that area and I could see some of the houses been destroyed and all and the people were claiming some of the bombs had fallen in that shrine but none of them exploded... They were all buried under the ground...

I am not sure what to make out of such stories but yeah there was certainly a lot of mortar weapons thrown in that area by Indian forces. You can google "barila sharif" to find out more

The concept is correct. Your interpretation is not.

Every people got their enlightenment through a Prophet or a Messenger.

Who came from among them. When they were most in need.

Some earlier. Some later.

Cheers, Doc

This is literally, word to word the same story i have heard about the temple of "karni mata" of Rajasthan..tha in 1965 lots of shells landed in the premises but not a single one exploded..the place where the temple stands now is famous because of pre battle prayers the armies of Rajasthan did before facing bin qasim in battle of Rajasthan..it is said that when the army of pratiharas (modern day jatts, gujjars and Rajputs) of Rajasthan were victorious they built a small temple there which was later built in modern form few hundred years ago.
