Came across an August 2022 Tweet by Shiv Aroor, praising the efforts of an IAF pilot, in rescuing his colleague from a crashed and burning Jaguar aircraft in November 2021. Ironically there's no mention of this incident in IAF's attrition list for that year. The Indian media also also reported 11 various crashes for that year, including 5 MiG-21s and a Mirage 2000, but no mention of the subject Jaguar crash.

If the intention was indeed to hide a crash, why give such detailed account of the crash? The aircraft was probably repaired and put back into service. Total nonsense from a person who learnt about this incident only because IAF published it. Typical Instagrammer quality, never disappoints!

Last July, the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) approved the procurement of 12 Su-30MKI aircraft from Russia to be licence-produced by HAL at an estimated to cost of ₹10,730 crore. These are meant to replace the Sukhois in the inventory that had crashed over the years. On the progress on this, a defence official said the Russians have quoted a very high (price) and negotiations are under way.

IAF lies in may ways. From what I know, Indian had lost 12 MKIs till end of 2022 and another 13th one this year but we only know of 11 crashes till 2022.
I don't know if @Windjammer disappoints or not but IAF surely disappoints.

1st principle of data analysis- avoid GIGO - Garbage in/ Garbage Out.
1st principle of IAF, always lie to the idiotic nation they belong:

Then why order 12 aircrafts till end of 2022? bruh officially up till 2022, IAF had lost 11 Su 30 MKIs but it ordered 12 to make up losses, does that make sense? If IAF successfully repaired and put one pack to operation, then India going by their crashes should have ordered 10! (10 official written off and 1 recovered).

We have all the mothballed quality here. Firstly, IAF didn't release the details to media or otherwise, this was just a citation. You don't need to grow a brain to understand the incident happened 9 months earlier of which no mention was ever made however you have already concluded that an aircraft crashing in a ball of fire and ended up inverted must have been repaired. Incredible.

It is because HAL manufacturers Su 30 MKI in batches 12 aircraft or 24 aircraft per year.

When placing an aircraft order, government has make sure the assembly line is production, through out the year to minimise lean period between successive aircraft orders.

We all know which is the idiotic nation their insititutions lie to. And it's not India.
