i think ispr should be ended and merged in to state media under information ministry.there is no need of ispr office after this and this will reduce cost of maintaining separate office for ispr.this was also suggested by ppp and pmln govt in past

This is not army from Bangladesh or from Brazil. It is Pakistan Army. The existence of Pakistan is largely thanks to Pakistan Army. Therefore having institutional input by the army is no harm. Many countries have had this. Prussia the state that gave rise to Germany and in modern Times the Kemalist Turkish Republic was largely a product of Turkish military. This shows why the Indian military information setup is better, As All three services spokespersons report to a civilian Additional Secretary/ADG rank offcer from Indian Information Services who is also the de facto spokesperson of MoD and is ADG (Defence) of PIB.
This ensures total civilian control over flow of news from military.

Same setup is followed by US Pentagon too where the Principal Assistant secretary of Info services is always Civilian.

DG ISPR has been on there since the Musharraf era. The only reason there are private news outlets is because the army allowed it. If they wanted to cancel all of them they could do it in a moment. Many would be unemployed and have to go to blogging lmao.

All private news channels should be canceled and there should be only PTV and its local stations. What kind of country has so many news stations at one time?
