What's new

Despite shortcomings, PN is no pushover!

We should buy medium range SAMS for Port area.

Well said...actually, in indian hands, many become none, as in abhi NONE done! :p:
They go by herds - if you hit one the rest are gone...

As for the Muslims, it's all about being a "lone Sherpa" - face to face with one's own Iman and Ihlas at the thickest of the Tempest....

Agreed and very well said...

Unfortunately, PN has been a pushover within Pakistan's arms procurement structure and arms acquisitions. Much of the focus has been on the PA, and since PAF is an important support for them, the PA has on several occasions paved way for them to acquire new aircraft and weapons. According to one scholar that I know, PN usually gets attention when the civilian government is in power (for good or for bad). Musharraf might have been an exception when PN began pursuing the U-boat option.

Pakistan need to lease Type 52D from China to counter any misadventures by IN which will not forget to utilizes everything in it's arsenal after IAF got a humiliation .

I think PN aviation will improve automatically when a carrier joins the force

NO they are not. We are getting two different types and for some very good reasons and very good capabilities.

Something tells me, all 8 won't be Type-041.

It took us more time to realise than was needed, but now we are done with them.

Are you surprised?
They have been a complete waste of time for Pakistan always...

Check ISPR press releases about both.

Both are said to have the capability to hit targets at sea

Is that a joke?

Capability to hit targets at sea is the primary role/function of a sub since they came in to being .... I was hinting at more advanced contemporary and future roles
