Gen. Mohamed receives UK minister
Discusses defence co-operation and training
General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received British Secretary of State for Defence Michael Fallon at the Al Bahr Palace on Wednesday, and discussed with him ways to enhance bilateral ties so that these serve the interest of the friendly countries and peoples.
The meeting also tackled the scope of joint cooperation, notably in military, defence and technical training. Sheikh Mohammed and Fallon took stock of the latest regional and international developments and the ongoing efforts to support stability in the region. Issues of common concern to the two countries also figured in the discussions.
Present at the meeting were Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Mohammed Ahmed Al Falasi, Undersecretary of Ministry of Defence, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA), Ali Mohammed Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary General of the National Security Council, Major General Isa Saif Al Mazrouie, Deputy Chief of Staff of the U.A.E. Armed Forces, and Mohammed Mubrak Al Mazrouie, Undersecretary of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court.
